  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Off-topic stuff…

My mom just got a 2026 Chevy Equinox (gas) and it’s a nice car. At 6’8” I’m comfortable in it, and at under $40,000 it’s a nice vehicle. I don’t know much about the EV version, but if they are similar in price and comfort, it would be worth a look.

Road Trip: Harvester vs EV vs Gas Hog

From Google: Compare travel time and cost from Missoula, MT to Anacortes, Wa in a Scout Terra Harvester vs Scout Terra EV vs Ram TRX. Average cost of gas is $5.638 per gallon. The TRX will average 14.4mpg To compare these three trucks for a trip from Missoula, MT to Anacortes, WA, we'll use...

Road Trip: Harvester vs EV vs Gas Hog

I have no idea. Again - I let Google do the Scout work. I probably should have been more specific with Google. I’m not sure what fuel Scout will require.

Road Trip: Harvester vs EV vs Gas Hog

A rough summary tells me the EV only version would be an hour ish longer than the Harvester version, but the cost between the two Scouts is the same. It also confirms what I already knew, that the TRX is a hungry fat bastard!

Road Trip: Harvester vs EV vs Gas Hog

So some of this is using Google Gemini, so take it for what it’s worth. The wife and I just did a 560 mile trip in one day, and it made me wonder how the gas hungry TRX would stack up against a Terra Harvester and a Terra EV. The trip took us 9 hours with two stops. So what follows is some...

    Popular Common Builds?

I’m 46 years old and prefer a supportive seat. After 25 years of marriage I’m not flexible enough for teen stuff.

    Google Gemini AI Scout Images

I told Gemini to put it on 40” tires and that’s what it came up with. It looks more like an aggressive 37” to me, but I like it. This was the original picture.

I don’t get the allure of the bench seat. Maybe it’s just me, but I want quality captain seats up front. At 6’8” I’m just hoping I fit in the new Scout!

How would you build your Scout?

A dedicated highway tire will always be quieter than an A/T, but the KO3’s are pretty dang quiet. I was going to go with them on my TRX, but the 35’s were only available in a Load F, which was more than I wanted. We’re close to replacing the tires on my wife’s Colorado, and she will get the...

How would you build your Scout?

A quality A/T tire in 35’s is not going to be loud. My brother runs the KO3’s on his Chevy Colorado (he had the KO2 before), and that’s not a vehicle known for quality sound deadening, and the tires are very quiet. The stock tire on my TRX was the Goodyear Wrangler Territory A/T, and it was kind...
