  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Lexus RZ chronicals-by my wife

Great job on successfully navigating the EV road trip! Charge anxiety will become less and less the more you road trip. Don't stress, 15% is plenty! Now if you're sitting at 15% and the arrival is 1% maybe dont risk it for the biscuit then lol!

Scout Concepts in Hudson, New York, July 3, 2026

Ok first off this looks absolutely incredible paired with the original. However, I wish someone would've overruled the marketing department and instead of highlighting the harvester, IMO the stripes should've continued like the original. But again I get it, marketing is quite important. Just my...

Well I wasn't that much earlier than you.....but. Also, can I just add how much more excited I am for the day our Scout reservations come up.

    R2 Launch Watch

The 30 mins is only for the drive, they have R2 floor models that you can sit in and play with for as long as you want. I strongly recommend and feel it will be a more enjoyable experience by arriving well before your test drive and sitting in and getting yourself familiar with the vehicle via...

Why I'm Cancelling My R2 Reservation

Actually there was mention at the recent media today, that they are considering but it will depend on how the initial sales look.

Is it just me or should Scout have gone this route

I think the cabana top is the best we could get at this point with the size of these vehicles. However, if a smaller version comes out later, I think it would be more than expected to have removable top and panels.

    R2 Launch Watch

I think this whole debacle around the R2 reservations is being largely misunderstood. While it may seem "unfair" to early res holders not getting their allocation first, you have to remember how high the importance of R2 is to the success of Rivian. Both early Tesla and R1 Gen 1 owners can tell...

    R2 Launch Watch

I absolutely agree that I want them to be massive success as well and by way propel the company to be one of the leading EV automakers in the world! Having driven one I can absolutely see this to be the case. Rivian absolutely nailed it with this little car. It has the full spirit and feel of...

I drove one yesterday. I can't wait to hear what you think and compare.

    R2 Launch Watch

Honestly, from what I've heard, Rivian is not only prioritizing early res holders but is also prioritizing previous R1 owners, their lease time frames, and if they are close to service centers.

Best way to make this happen is to ignore your reservation updates or providing any additional information. I saw an alert that more information was required for my reservation so I updated and I immediately got an email (automated I'm sure) saying I will be contacted soon regarding the purchase...

The hype around this vehicle is incredible! I've been trying since yesterday to book a test drive and not one but all 4 of the locations say all the spots are already booked. I'm still going to go this weekend and loiter around the sales center to hopefully squeeze in somewhere lol

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

" EV POWER, GAS RANGE" Not a bad tag line, but clearly shows just how much they are prioritizing the Harvester and rightfully so. But shout out to the Marketing team. Everything they do looks and sounds fantastic! Keep up the great work!
