  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Maybe it’s a dry sump system. I don’t recall hearing anything specific about the oiling configuration. Maybe someone else caught that info somewhere.

I think ertl made those. I’d say strong maybe. In addition to being an IH dealer in the 80s, we also had Ford. I got the exact same tractor but the Ford version for Christmas one year.

RAV4 is the best selling vehicle. Take the dimensions of the RAV4 and make them just slightly larger with more cargo room and body on frame. That is certainly worth looking at for a future model.

It’s fun to think about what’s next. Don’t forget that Scout actively reads this forum. If you want to see something from Scout there is no better place to say it.

It doesn’t seem like it, but the original Scout 80 is nearly identical in length and width to a Mazda MX5 Miata. People seem to really like that size. However, a little bit bigger that could support 4 doors, or a 2 door removable top. I keep thinking about the 4 door Isuzu rodeo and the quasi...

I hear you and agree… BUT the compact suv segment is absolutely massive. It makes a ton of business sense to look at that segment.

After reading this I am left pondering what would a sub $30k Scout branded vehicle vehicle look like. How would it be equipped? Is it even possible? https://apple.news/AgmNNZkLERZ6cAefWolyhFg

    Bingo. I have had a Volvo 1986 740 wagon and a 1998 V90 (old 960) wagon. Both tanks. My wife had a 2019 XC90...terrible quality.

The way that it could work is how National accounts are handled for many brands in the equipment industry. If Kubota sells a machine to national rental company the closest dealer gets a reasonable percentage to set up and deliver the machine. The dealer still gets to sell parts and do any...

Agreed. But, the premise of the article is interesting. Also, a big point is that American brands have nearly abandoned affordable vehicles. I am very concerned about security risks associated with Chinese vehicles. But, the market is clearly interested in something different and more...

I like tan and root beer brown separately or together. My dad had a two tone Ramcharger in those colors.

I did see this article when it came out. But, that is mostly for Europe. Maybe ford will glean enough tech in Europe and just send it over to the US.
