  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

That's awesome! We are at 38 years but we almost get divorced after every camping trip 😉
  2. BartMan Terra Total EV

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Increasing the capacity on the Terra EV would put it at 3/4 ton capacity. The wheelbase of the Terra would not handle it.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Great post. My guess is Scout will get creative with the Tera Harvester and towing capacity. Then there is the good old with or without wdh capacity limits. My guess is folks will liklely need to use one and Scout should be out and proud about it. Maybe even include one. It is a numbers thing...

Five hours that's just a coffee cup down the road 😉. Flying takes 2 + hours to get on plane. Then layover, then rental car shuttle, then the flu , covid or measles. Then the Dui because you have three drinks on the plane to deal with knowing you will be sick for three weeks. Can you tell I fly...

Or will the focus be so much on the Harvester models that we will be lucky to get 350 miles.

Hopefully do to the possibly that the Terra EV may come in last on production that will give SM time to offer a max pack battery that will hit 400 miles. Also hopefully this max pack model will be on 33s with a suspension that will allow it to lower the ride while on the highway.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Okay this is going to upset some folks here but what the hay. You know how all halfton trucks and suv only have 5,000 ( 500) if they are not using a wdh. What does this mean for Harvester models? It might mean that if your going to tow with a Harvester model you will have to use a wdh on the...

    EREV initial release only?

Okay I won't bring it up again. I did not realize it was already posted. Just don't have the time go thru every post. Parting words on this subject is this really concerns me but I will hang tight until late 2027.

    EREV initial release only?

    From face book.
  12. BartMan Terra Total EV

    EREV initial release only?

I have been off the forum for a bit. So you said the boss. Is that Jaime or Scott who announced that the Harvester is first? If this ends up being the case I just had a thought. Since the EREV is much more complicated there is a higher probability there could be issues. Then word will get out...

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Space..my good buddy insists his current Riv Quad Moter Max pack battery truck is close to being equal to a 3/4 ton truck. He feels like the self propulsion of the Lightship or Pebble take tongue weight pressure off the hitch. In my layman's mentality when you set that 600-750 pounds on the...

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

It doesn't appear like these three powered trailers have a A framed tongue that could take a wdh. I am afraid the former Tesla folks who designed these trailers know enough about trailers.

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Yes but thats with a WDH which i would never want to deal with. So the EvoTrex would be to heavy for me even with a Riv or Chevy. If your going off road at all you will need a 3/4 ton truck.

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Its to tall and heavy for a Scout.

Is this fake news? From FB Hyundai in talks Scout Motors on multibillion-dollar deal Hyundai Mobis is in talks with Scout Motors, for a multibillion-dollar EV battery system deal, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. It could mark the first large-scale order by a North...

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Looking for opinions on which one of these rigs is better off-road and the insulation aspects. My guess is the smart glass is not very well insulated. My guess is the heat pump will be running all night long when temperatures get below 30 degrees. They are very expensive trailers to only be 2...
