  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Here are a few observations that I would pass along to a new owner. 1. Standard ride height doesn't have much of a negative effect on the HWY (VS. the lowest setting). 2. I only use CONSERVE mode on the HWY (not around town) - Conserve tends to torque the front tires driving local 3. LOW & HIGH...

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Brake lights come on as a function of deceleration (either by brake or based on the amount of regen applied and how quickly you are slowing down). If you are using a light or high regen setting, and you lift your foot very slowly off the accelerator (as if you were just starting to decelerate...

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Congrats - not surprised that it has been a revelation so far. It was for me as well. Now, I'm on an out-of-warranty journey with 60K+ miles, but the truck has just gotten better with every new update - I've done 1 brake job (which was a little surprising since I drive 1-pedal most of the time)...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

FSD and LII+ are two entirely different beasts. I would argue that LII+ is safer than many drivers I see reading texts and eating burritos.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

If Scout doesn't enable a minimum of L2+ (which they have stated from the beginning that they will) they will miss out on tremendous marketshare and relinquish competitive advantage. This is now table stakes for any new entrant at this price point. Again, you can have all the experience you...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Thats 100% correct - until you are on a longgggg, straight stretch of HWY like the Jersey Turnpike doing a soul-less Slog to the South.

New Scout Driven By Community Video - The Wayfinder

I would go lower profile / clam shell type to optimize efficiency in an EV truck (right over the bed)... I'm guessing that GFC will do something based on the work they did for Rivian. Could be an entire V2 camper / topper (which is awesome) or just a RTT (like a V2 pro over the bed). But, a lot...

Poll: What Tires Do You Want To See On Your Scout?

Well, the good news is that you can put any tire you want on a truck (that will fit), so I'm not hung up on tires at all - especially based on what we have seen to date with the concepts. Also, there will be more efficient options (like you see on the 4-Runner) and less efficient options (bigger...

    20-24 mpg

Let's try to be specific - This is a post about the HARVESTER / EREV configuration, which you will be able to drive as a pure EV in many situations. So the way the EPA certification will work is likely NOT ONE NUMBER. Most likely, the EREV will get a 70-80MPGe score when running pure EV (which...

Interview with Ryan Decker, VP of Strategy and Brand, Scout Motors

I doubt this will help you let this go - but perhaps a better "basic understanding" of an OEM's (general) production process will assist you. Nobody gets to sit in a car when its a thought in someone's head. And, (most) of the general public won't be able to sit in 1 of only 2 validation...
