  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Do we know the location? Live oak trees only grow in the South and usually close to the coast.

My BMW is good and doesn’t act like many shady dealers. It really doesn’t have to be that way.

    Schnauzers of Scout Motors

As soon as saw Stevie she instantly reminded me of Lucy. Lucy was a rescue from a back yard breeder as well. She was 6 lbs. I always thought se was a Yorkie, Silky or similar mix. We did one of the DNA tests and it was 50/50 poodle chihuahua.

I gotta say, she looks a lot like my dearly departed Lucy. She was 50/50 poodle and chihuahua.

You can only push so much water through a garden hose.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Very interesting. I did not even think about furl economy degradation. Even if the battery is not 100% of capacity, the average electrical use is still going to be close to the same.

    R2 Launch Watch

I agree about the colors. But, 400v is not all that bad. You are correct that much of the industry is moving to 800v. However, it can only be used at DCFCs that support and provide over 350kw. There are many but not all. Furthermore, that really only matters if you plan to use high power...

    Wheelchair complication: 😥

The seats will definitely fold down. You will be good to go. I still suspect there is a chance you can fit them with the seats up.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

This may be difficult to do because of so many variables. But, how does that compare to an ICE (internal combustion engine) degradation from new? Let’s say the engine is perfect from the factory. We know that’s not always the case. Things like emissions systems, rings, injectors, valvetrain...

Never heard of DD, but I added it.

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

When I posted that poll a while back the consensus seemed to be that every wanted a really good Scout or unbranded system.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Agree. I do live near the beach and almost never go. I’ve had wranglers and figured out I like the idea of them way more than the real thing. The weather is never cooperative. Our traffic is awful. Most of the time I left the roof part on and took all the windows out. The sun was just too...

We could not get the clam shell rear doors with the window able to roll down. Clam shell won. It’s functional and has history with Scout design. That said I wanted a roll down rear window too. But, all good.

    Scout delayed??

I looked into it a few months ago. I can’t remember the exact number, but it seemed very similar. It must have really been a pain to find gas at the beginning. Mostly drug stores sold it.

I cannot answer that very well at this point. The reason is that neither Kubota or Hitachi have EV models available for sale in the USA. They do in other parts of the world. They have shown concepts and prototypes at many shows and meetings. But, there are not official numbers to give price...
