  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Now to be fair. When it’s 105 heat index and 90 percent humidity in August you can throw your cool dry mornings right back at me.

I like sketching but it’s hard to upload and share. I did one of a hypothetical scout motors logo a long time ago.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

They need one at Gibbet Hill Grill in Groton so I can charge while I dine before returning to Boston.

I keep doing mental gymnastics between quicker delivery or better quality. The fun of a low serial number probably wont last as long as the satisfaction of reliability. These are mass production vehicles. They are not collector items, yet. The original Scouts were just rusty old trucks for a...

Is that a different color on the Terra? Or is it just lighting?

I only put enough in it to give it a little bit of antifreeze protection

    Off-topic stuff…

I’ve lately made my own with distilled water, alcohol and clear dish detergent. I don’t like how the stuff you buy leaves streaks of whatever color it is.

I concur. They already have the big platform so that’s relatively low effort and quicker returns.

    Ah! A fine publication!

    Yes. Usually once per year.

    A Gift From Scout Motors

Nope and I put my reservation in at the reveal.

Now, now. Don't forget washer fluid and wiper blades.

    Ideal Small Sized Vehicle

Benchmark Jeep XJ and Gen 3 4Runner for exterior. Increase cabin space and comfort. 300 miles EV and maybe 400 Harvester range. Needs to be trail capable obviously, but really needs to urban friendly. Think tight parking, narrow streets, nimble, comfortable and timeless design. Not trendy...

I am 99% sure that is what Scott is talking about when he says they are looking at the 3 row variant for the future.

I would throw the Jeep Cherokee XJ into that mix as a benchmark. It was nearly perfect in all aspects. Certainly passenger comfort and quality could be improved.

    Traveler Liftgate lighting

    Also a great idea!

    Traveler Liftgate lighting

I absolutely agree and love this idea. More is better as long as you can dim and turn off as well.
