  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    EREV initial release only?

Yep, no way I am switching out of the pure BEV Terra to the EREV. Standing my ground and I honestly don't care if it comes after everything else is delivered and launched. However, and I have stated this in another thread, TIME is the killer of all deals. Scout could (theoretically) come to...

    EREV initial release only?

Rivian actually did have trims at launch, but most people just selected the LAUNCH EDITION (over the other two trims) and the "explore" trim was killed almost instantaneously. Even within the Launch Edition, you could choose an off-road package with 20's and AT's, and you could add an armored...

    Luxury EV

Scout took the TRX interior and threw it out the window. The TRX interior looks very turn-of-the-century, heavy and cluttered. I think the clean Scout interior blows away any interior from any of the big 3 trucks, having sat in all of them.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Scout would be smart to offer leases and get trucks out on the road for sure... The secondary market will be STRONG

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Scout is not my company, so this is purely my opinion. I will try to be unbiased, and I feel like I can be since I have 55K miles on my '22 R1T with a lot of life left to go, so I won't mind if the Terra comes after the Traveller and if BEV is after EREV. All of that said, I don't think BEV's...

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Interesting to see that Honda is designing these in-house apparently... Just a Prototype, so who knows if it ever actually sees the light of the Oregon coastline or not:

    A Gift From Scout Motors

I would rather have it be a link to the configurator - Early reservation holders get first dibs to Q/A it! And, its something they need to build anyway... And not a distraction! Must stay fucussed! LOL.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

Maybe you can drive the Slate in reverse if they put the driver seat on a swivel?

    Snowstorm 2026

"Twas Naught (as they say Downeast). Not in the least.

    Snowstorm 2026

The thing kept going last night, so heading out now to snow blow (again on day 3). There's ~ 2 feet of snow here now, so legit storm for sure... I sucked a kids mitten into my snow blower last night. It was partially shredded and it was jammed into the impeller. Worst job I think I have...

    Long distance EV towing video

No. But if long-distance towing in the winter (or any time really) were one of my primary use cases, I would buy a 2500HD (again). Glad that is not the case, though.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I find road tripping much more relaxing now with 3 stops in a day. I'm def stopping longer, but I arrive feeling better, and keep my normal meal schedule concurrent with charging stops (probably why I feel better when I get where I am going). My longest trips are about 900 miles round-trip a few...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Living with a BEV Truck currently, thinking about ever having to go back to a gas-guzzler gives me the willies big time. Also makes the decision for BEV vs Harvester much easier, if you know what you are getting into. But I am also in the NE, and like the OP from CA says, plenty of...

    Off-topic stuff…

Always fun buying a fresh gallon of gas for the snow blower in my R1T. Love the looks I get from the attendant in town. "1 gallon plz". My grill cover is telling me about 18" so far, and it's supposed to keep falling tonight and into tomorrow in the Northeast, as the storm wraps and draws...

    Off-topic stuff…

Well, that's coming straight from the weather station on MT Washington, which really is "home to the World's worst weather". So, yes, that happens quite a lot there. It is one of the greatest places on planet earth, but one that also deserves a lot of respect - especially in winter...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

This must be challenging. Does your EV have a 'HOLD' feature for the Climate Control? B/C all you need to do is tap HOLD if it does. Takes your butt entirely out of the equation. Also, scheduling or pre-conditioning in advance is usually one or two taps in an app for most EV manufacturers...

    Off-topic stuff…

Up to a balmy -27F degrees right now (from -33F on the rock). I have seen -28F on my infotainment screen, but never with wind gusts to 107MPH, like on the summit of Mt Washington right now. Nothing quite like a -90 windchill in the AM to wake you up. It already warmed up 5 degrees and the...
