  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

This may sound crazy, but that’s not nearly as bad as I expected. High end off road coil overs or shock/spring combos (Fox, King, etc.) are about in that 5-6k price range. If that really is a good ballpark I might not mind an air suspension as much. I still think the offroad package should be...

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

My heart is set on a green Traveler, but my money is on a dark brown.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Interesting. Are most of them aluminum? I thought most traditional straight axles were various flavors of steel and cast iron.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Aha. So the real business model is plutonium distribution!

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

All good, I figured as much but had to ask.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

A question you might not be able to answer about solid rear axle - there have been comments about having air suspension for height adjustment, and I notice most vehicles with anything other than load leveling rear air are independent front and rear suspension. Are y’all looking at a watts link...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

I just commented to my wife a couple days ago that the Bronco aftermarket is only now starting to really fill out well with options, and it’s built to be pretty modular. 5 years after launch. I’m very curious to see how the Scout aftermarket develops. I’d bet we’ll see primarily interior...

Best news I’ve heard all week! Wonder if the reveal will be a Christmas present…

I’m not Jamie and it’s not Friday but the jerks at Scout marketing dropped this banger on the official Instagram today: What a phenomenally good blend of modern and retro styling. I’ve been working on talking myself into being patient and enjoying the Bronco for a couple more years, but teases...

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Yes please! I’ve built lots of Broncos and Cayennes in my spare time. I suppose you’d have to plaster “THESE COLORS MAY NOT BE FINAL” everywhere but a broad color selection to play with would be fun. Maybe ability for reservation holders to log in and submit specs they like (limit it to 2 or...

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

Oh, and here I was thinking you were a 40k Admech fan…

How would you build your Scout?

I watched the reveal while sitting in an airport lounge and (with some difficulty, completely unrelated to the free booze) was frantically putting in my deposit as soon as I saw the bench seat option.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Italian tune ups are REAL and VALID and nobody can ever tell me otherwise. (Pretty sure modern DI engines don’t really need it, but I can’t imagine it actually hurts. And it’s fun!)

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Sweet, been wondering about this. 4/48 comprehensive is pretty solid. I’d always like to see 5/60 on a new model from a new company, but this is nothing to sneeze at. I’ll be very curious to see the extended warranty pricing. I took my Bronco’s comprehensive to 5/60 from 3/36 for 1500. Wonder...
