From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Good news... Robots are calibrated & kinematically tuned through software so they will all be "fine-tuned" (essentially) once they come online. Based on my own experience in robotics, and at this stage, the focus should really be on anchoring and the flooring. Oh yes, and you wouldn't believe what goes into putting robots up on a mezzanine. This dance floor looks prime!
Looks like Scout Motors works with Becker as the Systems Integrator to install the Fanuc Robots, which would make sense:
"Established in 1993 in Germany, Becker Robotic embarked on a journey of growth and technological advancement that transcended borders."

I'm seeing MOLL Automatisierung GmbH doing the assembly line work, which I assume includes the robots, but they might be using Becker as a local source for labor/service/etc.Good news... Yeah, usually there will be multiple parties and subs involved for sure. I'm just connecting the dots between the robots, Becker and the fact that Becker got its start with VW in Germany and recently added a GA location.
MOLL is listed on-site at the Scout plant location on Google now, but I highly doubt they're shipping all labor over from Bavaria, so that would definitely make sense. They might've done the layout in Germany, but they usually prefer local installation talent when possible in my experience. I often get CAD files from VW or BMW to convert for local production shops in the area, but the engineering portion is handled in Germany, even for locally-produced vehicles in my experience, so I assume the same applies here. MOLL probably did the assembly-line engineering, and the local companies will install. As big as the plant is, they probably have multiple companies installing.
This does make me wonder who Scout used to install that massive HVAC unit...
I think the guess is that the very earliest deliveries will happen in late 2027 with most early deliveries happening in the first and second quarters of 2028. This is consistent with what many of us understood from reveal day when Scout stated that “initial production [is] targeted for 2027.”
The “delay” talk seems mostly coming from people who seemed to believe “initial production targeted for 2027” meant production of 100,000 vehicles on 1 January 2027 and delivery would be on 2 Jan 2027.
Are we talking deliveries at 12:00:00 AM on January 1 2027 AD or BC? Makes no difference to me, as long as there’s AC/DC to electrify us all

I know I'm not the only one that wants to take a ride of some sort on all of these roller systems, right? Being pushed on a sled, just running and body surfing? Something?

My husbands favorite camera store is in New York. B&H Photo. We visited it when we went to NYC on vacation. They had a whole system like that suspended from the ceiling and when you bought something it came up from a lower floor and took a ride to the register.I was imagining an oversized TSA bin
Could I try out the seats while I watch the dash get installed?
