Recently Visited Rivian’s Newest Space In Miami and Here Are Somethings I Would Like To See From Scout’s Dedicated Shops.

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Got to check out Rivian’s newest space and wanted to give some input as to what I would love to see.

First would be a coffee bar with some pastry’s from local shops. At the space they only had refill water which is nice that they offered that but given that I went in the morning a bit of coffee would have been nice to have.

Secondly the merch! I love merch as many of you know but would love to see exclusive merch sold based on the city that the shop is in. For example they came out with unique shirts, blankets based around Miami Vice colors (Blue/Pink). Something of this would be nice to see. Oh and pins! The Scout logo, Traveler and Terra and lastly “Scouts Lead The Way”.

Lastly community events! Having weekly or bi weekly events celebrating the community with local vendors selling items like food (especially wood fire pizza), items like jewelry and other things. Scout, being community driven definitely needs to focus on that.

I’ll leave yall with some pictures. Please if y’all have more input leave it in the comments would love to start a conversation on this!

    Oh thanks for posting that.

I really stand by the notion that this forum is very unique and Scout should lean into the strength of this community. I know other car communities exist online but I don’t know of one where the manufacturer engages with the community like Scout does.

So how about a special sticker/pin/patch when a forum member/owner visits one of the Scout retail locations and checks in and posts on the forum hey I’m here at such and such location.

And then what about having a station where people can sign up for the forum on the spot and get said sticker/pin/patch in addition to placing an order.

Lastly what about a screen that shows info from the forum. How many members there are. How many are on currently. Show the most popular post that day. What is the community talking about.

I still say this is one of the greatest assets is this ever expanding community.

When people start to take delivery and are posting it’s going to create excitement and also a sense of confidence in the brand. If someone has an issue or a question they have a place to go immediately to ask for help and can get answers not only from the community but from SM. We have all seen people post on social media tagging a brand and stating their issue hoping someone from the manufacturer sees and will help them. We know SM is seeing our posts and they communicate directly with us. There is something to be said for that peace of mind that we aren’t just buying a brand new vehicle, we have a whole community and the manufacturer behind us and supporting us.

This is some great feedback! I didn’t even think of that. Also another cool thing would be that each Store has their own social media ran by someone working there. One thing Rivian places don’t have is that. For example posting new events coming up from their stores or when a customer takes delivery and even when they have new flavours for the season. The finer details is what makes A Scout Scout.

Agree with all your statements. Early renders did show a coffee bar in the Scout centers. Harley Davidson figured out the city/destination thing and they sell tons of T-shirts and merch.
Early on I proposed an exterior theme wall with a city mural that you could park your Scout in front of as a reminder you were there. Maybe on a pole of rocks so it’s unique. Love your ideas.

The mural would be amazing! There so many things they can gather from Cities they put these shops in. Loving the ideas!

Maybe I'm an oddball but I hope that Scout spends as little money as possible on their "spaces" (such that they can keep the vehicle price as low as possible). Do people seriously hang out in car dealerships? I hope to visit the dealership to pick up my truck and then never visit there again. Now organizing Jamboree-type things for owners I am all for but the dealership? No interest. If my truck needs service I hope they can do it at my house or (eventually) provide me a loaner vehicle. If people want to wait for service, a Keurig and a few snacks are plenty.

I’m one of these oddballs too. The stale doughnuts and bitter coffee don’t really make up for having to be in a salesroom. I’d rather go camping with the good people from Scout Motors than spend time in a sterile showroom.

But Space what if it wasn’t sterile. What if it had the latest greatest items from Scout Supply that you could purchase to modify your scout. A place to see them first. What if they had Scouts & Coffee on the weekends and it was a meeting place for owners to come and be part of the community we are building. What if they brought in special guests from time to time or someday when they have a new model it travels to all the different Scout locations. They aren’t selling through traditions dealerships so nothing has to be traditional. Think outside of the box, heck just think outside.

I’m not a shopper, so stuff like that doesn’t appeal to me. It literally takes me weeks and months to pick a new item and I feel rushed if I have to shop in a physical store.
I’m not a people person. Being in the physical presence of people, especially crowds and people I don’t know, causes me massive stress and can induce panic attacks.
I literally skipped stopping at a store today on the way home from a board meeting because I’d had enough people time for most of the week in that one meeting.
If it’s people I do know, I’d rather host a camping / astronomy / planetary science / star party.
I’d rather go to a “let’s all program this cool new feature in your Traveler" party.
I’d rather go on a “let’s go learn about the ecology of this neat, nearby area” adventure.

It’s unlikely to really matter to me directly since my area isn’t exactly large enough population to induce Scout to build a space here.
