From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Good stuff, really excited to see the final product. I noticed there's a button to turn creep on and off so that should satisfy people who prefer it behave more like a traditional auto vs those who prefer the usual EV hold when stopped. Interested if the braking option that was turned off is to do with 1 pedal driving or something else.

The amount of detail that went into the creation is amazing, using eye tracking glasses to track eye moment is forward thinking. I love that SM is featuring the team to give them recognition.

Sorry I've been out of the loop for a bit but I don't get what's so innovative? Tesla has had Google Maps integrated for years. When you navigate somewhere it will access Google Maps and tell you if the destination will be closed when you arrive, it takes elevation and wind into account when calculating power consumption, you can search and add stops along route, etc, etc. It also uses Google Maps traffic data to route around traffic. It can also access your calendar and automatically route to your next appointment....
Tesla has maintained control of the UI but I think all of the Google Maps features are there.....

The new MG4 is set to debut next month, featuring advanced new battery tech. MG’s brand manager, Chen Cui, confirmed “the new battery, supplied by QinTao Energy, contains only 5% electrolyte.”According to MG, the semi-solid-state EV battery delivers a CLTC driving range of up to 537 km (334 miles) with an energy density rating of 180 Wh/kg. It also outperforms LFP batteries in cold weather (–7°C) by 13.8%. “
Edit: I’m surprised nobody has anything to say about a car being released next month with a semi-solid state battery. It’s looking less and less like vaporware, contrary to what so many say.

I think Tesla has been too driven by Elon to attain actual autonomous driving and not given the user the mix of features many want:
HUD
ADB
Buttons mix
Off Road and Towing
Practical door handles
Pano Shade
Not ridiculous truck / bed.
No rear wipers.
What Tesla has done:
Superior Dashcam/Sentry mode and mobile connect.
Mobile Climate/vent/snow clear
Good if not great FSD but not yet perfected.
I find my HUD in My two Audi’s keeps my eyes on the road. Meanwhile physical buttons also keeps my eyes on the road.
When menu systems glitch, or CarPlay won’t work, or features are forced into menu layers, I fumble with digital screens when I have no co-pilot. Not ideal.

It's exciting news, however the Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B size BUT here is how it performs in the real world. Not just marketing claims. Under different weather conditions, with "dumb" users interacting with it, etc.
I'm hopeful that if all that proves out, we can get something down the road too I just don't want v1.
European manufacturers are testing them as well but their goal is to have them on the road by 2030.
I wasn’t expecting anyone to release one so soon. Pretty skeptical myself but China is pumping billions more into EV development than western auto makers are so it still seems plausible.
Hopefully the folks at Out Of Spec can get their hands on this one for testing. But Im sure it will still have a lot of eyes on it since it’s the first to market with that technology.
