  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Terra BEV. Love my current gas truck but want to get into EVs and the more I talk to friends and family with EVs the less I'm worried about range. Charge networks are only going to get better over the next few years.

I'm really curious what the MPG will be when the Harvester generator is running. Hearing that the RamCharger will get around 20-21mpg highway when running the gas generator is absurd and really kills some of the efficiency benefit of an EV and adds all the maintenance of an ICE back into the equation as well.

I reserved the Terra - Harvester in hopes that Scout will won't fail me in terms of limiting the tow capacity of 5,000 lbs (Rumored).

I'd pay more for a stronger battery with the harvester to prevent limiting the towing from 10,000 to 5,000 lbs.

I will probably cancel if the rumor is true.
I'd watched a few videos on this, namely comparing the RamCharger to the Harvester, and likely what will limit the towing capacity is the generator output, rather than the battery. RamCharger can tow more because it has a much larger V6 powering a bigger generator (130kw I think).

Welcome to the forum!

I reserved a Traveler but wonder If I shouldn’t have reserved a Tera also. If final options are different or capabilities are much different I may prefer one over the other. Hmm maybe I should go reserve a truck now as well.
Thats what I did when the towing capacity conversation kicked off.... but if the stars align I may buy both.

I should know in a few months if I can. Crossing all my fingers and toes.

I can't wait to be able to build and price my Traveler Harvester! Just to sit and play with an online configurator will eat many hours of my life to come... haha
For real! I do this for a few hours a day with the F250 and Rivian configurator.

Scout really needs to get on this to keep the hype going.

Slate has a great one too and people are still playing with it despite no pricing being available yet.
