  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Says production 2027 do we anticipate deliveries happening in 2027? Will this be a 2027 model or 2028.

They've said production "starts" in 2027, I think Scott even said "late 2027" in one of his interviews I watched so I wouldn't expect it to actually start arriving in driveways until 2028 at the earliest.

These things usually run into delays and setbacks and it takes time to ramp up factories, especially ones that haven't even been built yet so I will be pleasantly surprised if they start deliveries at all in 2028 and outright shocked if any vehicles manage to get delivered to customers in 2027.

Don’t dash my dreams! But I think you are right. Voice of reason and all. 😹

Agree, I’m think best case we start seeing general public delivery’s Q4 ‘28, with anything prior being early review models and a marketing fleet.

And in the ABC factory update and interview with Scott, they said late 27’ Fall.

I’m gonna count on late ‘27 delivery. Originally it was ‘26 and factory is still on schedule so I can’t imagine losing a year UNLESS:
A-the harvester delays due to more engineering so only BEVs start mid/end of ‘27. Typical car build is less than a day and load/transport is 2 weeks worst case? If factory delivery it’s 30minutes.
Or B-SM is holding out for the Canadian battery factory to come on line that is being built and intentionally slowing pace to capitalize on a shipping/savings/tech advantage which everyone would benefit from.
We aren’t even mid ‘25 yet and paint shop is being fitted out. Even with 12-15 months of construction left that gives them 6 months of full production to get testers out, so Q4 of ‘27 is still very doable in my mind. Buildings are basically closed in now or within a month or so-so even weather won’t slow things down then-it’s all controlled environment

I love your optimism but I'm not going to hold my breath. 2028 for first deliveries and I'm sticking to it!

My guess would be the first models will be sent out late 2027 but that could be in really limited numbers (I'm thinking in the tens or hundreds to meet the 2027 release date target) and then the bulk of us will get them in 2028.
And the very first few will probably be for engineers to find kinks to fix in updates or recalls, and for media purposes.

Sadly, I will be probably counting days starting with 2026... Saw an article bashing the Cybertruck's resale prices - started thinking, Cybertruck for the next 3 years. But the article was a bash piece with no real honesty.

There are quite a few used Teslas because of a lot of people trading them in currently, however I just got a great deal on a 23 model 3 with only 17k miles on it. We plan on keeping it as it’s a great car. If that’s something you want you can probably find a great deal. Resale may go up but you’ll have a decent car.

The more important question is when will when will they deliver my Scout? ;)

Since the reservation numbers are not sequential, I don't even know where I am in the queue. I know there are a bunch of people that got their reservations in before me, but no idea beyond that. So while I would be happy to see deliveries start in late 2027, I know I won't likely get mine until sometime in 2028. And for the record, I would rather they delay to 2028 (or even later) if they have to. I will take high quality over faster delivery every time.
