On the rail system on the dashboard where accessories will be attached. Make a couple hidden USB charging ports and a way to hide wires for those accessories.

there are already 2 USB-c's under the accessory rail. it was shown in a CES videoOn the rail system on the dashboard where accessories will be attached. Make a couple hidden USB charging ports and a way to hide wires for those accessories.
This is one of the items that I hope makes it to production. I wouldn’t imagine it would add too much to the vehicle price and it would be quite useful.there are already 2 USB-c's under the accessory rail. it was shown in a CES video
how much a high quality USB-c port, .45 cents probably less since it would be bulk. This is one of the items that I hope makes it to production. I wouldn’t imagine it would add too much to the vehicle price and it would be quite useful.
They'll figure it out. Scout Motors can accomplish it.Indeed. I guess I was thinking of the big picture - additional wiring to get power to that point in the vehicle, wire routing, additions to the overall harness depending on architecture, whether it will be keyed or always-on or user configurable, power only or power and data, etc. etc. Definitely more cost than just the port involved, but hopefully still quite small in the grand scheme and at scale. Many potential SM buyers are highly sensitive to cost, so the pool thins as the entry cost creeps up.
50/50 it makes it to production? RightCurrently in the show vehicles yes.
Agreed. They'll figure it out. Scout Motors can accomplish it.
Bean counters be DAMNED! Just kidding-I’ll likely never hook up a dash cam but would be nice to have a connection just in caseIndeed. It's what I'm going to call the phone holder of shame, if a back passenger asks to charge, I'm taking their phone and putting in there and plugging it in there far away from them. Mainly since I'm not using a dashcam, and maybe a GoPro will be up there on a timelapse recording me fishing for some sweet pics.Bean counters be DAMNED! I’m hoping it comes with an integrated dash cam.Bean counters be DAMNED! Just kidding-I’ll likely never hook up a dash cam but would be nice to have a connection just in case
A sentry mode. But scout can call it “BaldEagle” or “HawkMode”I’m hoping it comes with an integrated dash cam.

Sentinel Mode?A sentry mode. But scout can call it “BaldEagle” or “HawkMode”
Think they are talking about a security cam like you are seeing on Tesla's. They've been catching all the vandals on their cameras.Sentinel Mode?
I was offering Sentinel as a naming convention that might go along with the Scout name for your version of this type of system.Think they are talking about a security cam like you are seeing on Tesla's. They've been catching all the vandals on their cameras.
Raven watch or. Modification of HawkeyeSentinel Mode?
