It would be awesome if the Traveler had a roll down rear window but with it being a split gate, probably not doable.
Maybe a pop up window like the Toyota Highlander could work? Especially when you have that large tire carrier in the back, it'd be convenient to be able to access the rear without having to open multiple things.

I believe the Travler has a “swing up” rear window in addition to the split gate (I think that term is wrong for that but hopefully it makes sense)
I just ask this the other day and Jamie clarified. Lower tailgate and upper hatch only. The upper hatch will NOT have operable glass. Was bummed about that
Dam. Still, having the split tailgate will be a nice improvement and at the end of the day some things are going to be dropped.
Just curious, what do you see is the biggest advantage of having split tailgate vs traditional suv hatch?
Split tailgate allows you to tailgate and you won’t get dirt on your pants if you off-roaded prior. It also allows for zero load lip making packing a trunk easier.
My Titan has a window in back that can be lowered. It’s great and really lets you ventilate the cab….but you are correct. If there’s stuff in the bed(leaves mostly), it gets caught in the bed vortex (that’s really a thing. It’s produced by the relatively still air in the bed vs the higher speed air moving over top of the cab and over the bed) and some of it ends up in the cab. You can control it with how far you lower the window….and by keeping the bed cleaned out. Still…it is definitely a thing but doesn’t make the rear window lowering less desirable in my eyes. I love being able to get the air in the cab really blowing through! Really glad Scout decided to include this feature on the Terra.

100%. I had a Tundra with a rear roll-down and it was awesome. Great for shoving things like fly rods in the truck (or longer items) for easy transport when traveling locally.
Duct tape and a screen door repair kit and you’ll be good to go my friend!

In college I lived in an actual, certifiable dump of a place (It was easily over 100 years old. while my wife and I were living there, we were visited by a man in his 80's on a "family history tour", and he told us the story about how when he was a little kid, they moved the mother in law suite to its current location, then how he helped dig the cellar, which was later enclosed, and became our apt. We also had some neighbors move in and try to come into our apt, thinking it was their shed.)
It had a tiny window unit AC that was innept even for the 300 sq ft (top and bottom floor combined
), so I used a fan to cool things down, but there were tons of bugs. So... I got some screen material, and I caulked it to the window frame on the outside of the apt, figuring it would be a temporary solution, and thats just what I had laying around, and we could finally cool the place down below like 80 degrees in the summer.My wife and I went and visited/showed the kids the place when we were visiting just a year or two ago. The caulked on window screen, is still there

maybe it can be an option with the Terra. Seems like something that would be helpful
Tesla aftermarket offered plenty of interesting items to address items like that (like a screen for the A/C intake to keep leaves out). If SM doesn’t do something and it’s an issue, someone will likely take the initiative.
