    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    There is no requirement that the vehicle pass the Davis Dam test on ICE power alone. The whole point of having a large battery pack is that it can use both the battery and ICE generator in order to pass the test. Bottom line is that the engine does NOT need to produce 275 HP.

    To answer your question, pet mode will run until the battery hits 20%. So that could literally be days if the car has a full charge. I have never activated it with the battery low but I would hope that the car would send an alert to the owner's phone to let them know that the AC was shut off...

    I do not think they are going to build them that way. Jamie has stressed that each line can handle BEV and EREV at the same time. They will do batches but it won't be all of the EREVs and then the BEVs. We also don't know what the actual order split will be since no one has placed an order...

    I am definitely getting the bench. We are a family of 4 so wouldn't need the bench often, however I have 6 seats now (3 rows of 2) and once a month or so I need the extra seats to carry my kid's friends to school, activities, etc.

    Can't speak to the prototypes but the 3rd row (that folds down) in my Model X has shoulder belts that are in the seatback itself so it's definitely doable.

    I will need to defer to the Rivian owners for their implementation but in Teslas you can switch between the factory wheel/tire sizes right on the touchscreen. It forces a full reboot of the car (because it needs to do stuff like reset the TPMS, speedometer, etc) and then you are good to go...
