  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

I think I have said this before but they should bring back the "pedestrian horn" that GM had on the original Volt. This was pre-pedestrian warning system but GM realized that people will mosey down the middle of a parking lot, not realizing there is a car behind them. So the original Volt had...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

So on my Jeep WK (Grand Cherokee) it has a full size spare with the same wheel as the other tires. Every tire change I rotate that tire into the mix so it's only under there for 1 tire cycle. I'm also diligent about checking the tire pressure (The TPMS reports on it actually) and I carry a...

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

The noise is regulatory, including the level. The sound must be at least 56dBA at 7 feet traveling below 12mph. I too hope they keep it to the minimum. When the regulation first took effect, Elon was pi$$ed so he let Tesla owners use any sound file they wanted. It was HILARIOUS. Of course...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

My 12-year old daughter wholeheartedly agrees. If Stellantis can make it happen they have a guaranteed sale (assuming she keeps up her end with grades, ballet, band, chores, etc).

You can sit on it like a tailgate, carry groceries/reusable bags, if you have a Traveller you can put dirty stuff in there and not put it in the cabin. You will regularly forget about it and then wonder how you could ever live without it.

The test will be longevity. Solid State batteries tend to be brittle. Call me when they have tens of thousands of miles on real roads. Preferably in Michigan.....

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

That's awesome news. Ok, so definitely bald for me....

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

Wait, do we know if there is underneath storage like the Silverado/Lightning? If so that would be awesome. Heck even the Rivian method of putting it in the bed/cargo area would be fine. I agree that it looks better with the tire carrier, I do not think I will get it. I like to be able to...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

So Tesla has cut the CT price to be the same as Scout's price. This validates Scout's model. The Maverick is 2 sizes smaller than Scout's first truck. Ford will be competing with Slate, not Scout - different buyers. Again, not Scout's buyer. Scout will likely follow with a cheaper/smaller...

    Rain/fog Lights in the rear

My Tesla has them too. It basically keeps one brake light on. I believe they are required in Europe. I don't use auto high beams so can't comment on whether it disables those. It has separate toggles for front and rear fog lights.

With all this talk of being too wide you all had me freaking out. But I looked and near as I can tell the Traveler will only be 1" wider and 9" longer than my MXP. That's doable for me.

Let's all take a breath here. Scout is following the Tesla/Rivian path of large and expensive vehicles first, smaller and cheaper vehicles second. So if the first offerings are too large and/or expensive, you'll just need to be patient.

This is the primary reason I am leaving Tesla. They have taken the removal of physical controls too far: no turn signal or drive control stalks, no glovebox button, the horn is a tiny capacitive button on the face of the wheel (they since "fixed" that but despite Elon saying that my car had the...

Maybe I'm missing something but Tesla has had this for 10 years..... They also let you choose what the scroll wheels do so you can set it to be fan speed, temp, screen brightness, etc. You can also set the button to be a bunch of different things (I use mine to open the glove box since Tesla...

    Try before you buy?

I expect they'll have a factory tour event for reservation holders. It would be great if there would be an event within the event for the community members - we cold have name tags with our screen names on it. It's always fun to put a face to a name.
