  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

It all depends on the trip; 5-10 minutes on DCFC can be more than enough for an hour plus of driving, but it depends on a bunch of factors like weather, driving behavior, and the overall trip itself. When I had to use DCFC daily back last year while waiting to have our L2 installed, I would be...

    Reservation order

My scout really can’t come soon enough, but BEV Terra is going to a wait.. however that means more time to pay down/off the bolt and build the savings for “the day”

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Our Buick had them, the driver side burnt out is just always tinted now

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

I don’t disagree, I think the lighting looked great it was just an F150 nothing overly futuristic, but I also do like the full light across the front and rear, but GM chose to redesign the Silverado/avalanche into an EV and it still looks better with the fake grill on the WTs but works with...

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

It’s fair but it’s also purely personal taste, I actually like the look of Rivian (mostly) but 90% of my friends don’t and that’s fine but what makes an EV look? I know the expedition or Santa Fe have cross lighting that at night evokes “EV” is it the lack of grill, that’s just something to...

By the end of the year I will have driven 25k+ tax deductible miles, I still don’t have an issue paying for what I drive, one month of gas in the ICE is around $600-/+ unfortunately the easiest way I see to make it more fair is requiring an odometer reading at yearly registration but that...

Is it? The gas tax froze in the 90s and cars got more efficient, and applying a blanket tax (equivalent to a very large inefficient ICE) to EVs and hybrids regardless of mileage driven is “fair”? To me it’s still a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of a gas car, but it’s not “fair”, I have...

That’s not a very great way to look at it, as there’s still many people that want an EV. I already pay over $100+ extra on my registration for local EV tax, paying over $300 on registration a year this would bump that over $400 and while all of that plus one month of charging is still better...

Do those early 2000s Harley Davidson F-150s count? Not me personally but I know multiple people that have them because of the Logo attached, all but one were bought second hand though

    Change of Heart?

It can still hurt though. I’m not complaining, just feeling the impatience growing, and it will worsen when/if I see travelers or harvester Terras while I’m still in my bolt or borrowing some old gas guzzling truck

    FB find of the day

It’s the future Travelette! I know those were crew cab trucks, but the name fits a smaller sportier traveler
