  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

The R1T could also be considered a close competitor, and there were no additional charges for things like outlets when I purchased my truck. However, the R1T does now have a higher base price for each of the configurations compared to the Ford (dual-motor, tri-motor and quad). The dual motor...

I can confirm that this is not a "hoax" in Mass. LOL.

    Spare tire discussion

5-wheel rotation for me... Get more life out of all 5 and keep them moving so they wear more slowly and evenly! Although my spare is hidden from sight under the bed.

    Spare tire discussion

The other factor to consider with wheel and tire sizes will be the size of the brakes. I know on my truck I can't get anything smaller than a 20" wheel due to the size of the brake calipers. TBD on what size brakes Scout will employ in production, but could be a limiting factor on wheel size.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I was talking about the Taycan most people buy! Not the Weissach edition! The base Taycan achieves 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and the 4S model does it in 3.5 seconds, all with Launch Control.

Will Scout Work With Future 3rd Party Battery Retrofit/Replacement Companies? (Right to Repair)

I don't think those are DCFC chargers... I should have clarified that and was responding based on the Ionna comment. As far as I know, those Ionnas are DCFC's (my numbers were for DCFC chargers)

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

And it sure is fun to beat a Porsche Taycan from 0-60MPH off the line in an American-made pickup truck that costs way less (and offers the same range!)

Will Scout Work With Future 3rd Party Battery Retrofit/Replacement Companies? (Right to Repair)

I have a NACS adapter and it works flawlessly. It might not be a terrible thing if there is competition and further development as a result, but understand the desire some people have for a "standard". in reality, and if you need to stick an adapter on a charger it's really no big deal... And...

    Scout! Hear me out!

This is a perfect example of an edge case. The average buyer isn't buying a Scout to travel 650 miles at a whack, without stopping. Scout has already shown that the Traveler will have a spot for a jerry can, and that is a whole lot easier than finding more space and reducing cargo space, or...

    Pavement Queen

Think about all the sparks you could generate as you gradually wear through the underbelly and chew through all the protection around the battery pack though.

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

Scout will have this, and you'll be able to enable things like this from the App

Scout has more than 50,000 reservations

Right, but just b/c they are random doesn't mean that they don't have a queue. Every reservation will have a timestamp associated with it. That said, and upon launch, having an early reservation might not necessarily guarantee you get your truck earlier than someone with a later reservation...

Make it easy to precool your Scout and create routines (Mobile Integration)

Yes, great feature and use it all the time... Also to turn on heated or cooled seats before climbing in. Spoilt.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I think its supposed to be modular and support aftermarket accessories, so when you get one, and if you like ARB, you can stick your own ARB bumper on it.

Can we add some wings so it will also fly, please?
