  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Joining the EV gang while waiting for Scout!

I think you will. I'm so glad I took the plunge and bought my used Lightning in September. Absolutely loving every minute of owning it so far. No regrets whatsoever! Most incredible driving experience, and I've owned many cars, trucks, classics, muscle cars, etc.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

8.5% NOW! At this rate, we might hit 10% by the 4th of July! I kinda liked the exclusivity when we were the 8.3 percenters.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Yes, I'm having this thought right now having bought my used Lightning a few months before Ford announced they are discontinuing it. On the F150 Lightning forum, they said they will provide support/updates for 10 years. I love the Lightning and before the announcement I had considered keeping...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Depends on whether I can find a red one in the junkyard or not. If not, I'll have to ask my sales manager about that $1,000 discount.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Maybe, but for that there is a "dealer adjustment" of an additional $10K. The optional driver's door already has glass etching on it, so there will be an additional charge for that too.

For $10K you can have mine. And you don't have to wait till 2027!

Traveler vs. Terra - Targeted Technical Questions

Welcome! Great questions. As others have said, and you alluded to in your post, it may be a little early to know the answers to some of them, but as we go along, Jaime and others from Scout will give us updates. I'm sure they are still testing and refining to get some of those answers. Scout...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Oh, so you'll be able to select the sound of a Scout silently rusting into the ground? :ROFLMAO:

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

One of the great things about an EV is that there's really no need for the floor in the back seat area to be anything but flat. No transmission tunnel or driveshaft to necessitate a hump in the middle of the floor. My Lightning back seat folds up and the whole back seat area floor is one big...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

It's super handy to be able to turn on the heated wheel, heated seats, and set the temperature to a nice warm setting from the app. Then, when you go out and get in the vehicle on a cold day, everything is nice and warm and toasty in the cabin for you. In the Ford app, if you set a departure...

Welcome! I have to agree. Heated steering wheel is a game changer. I never had one before I recently got my F150 Lightning, and now that I have it I love it.
