  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

I took PTO from work on the 19th. I need to see if my kids can get out of school for the day. If so, we might make a day of it and see other sights in the city, as well as seeing the Scout. I'll update when I have confirmation one way or the other.

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

I'm gonna guess white for the Traveler. Not sure about the Terra because there wasn't a picture of it in the Linkedin post...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'm a little late to the party here but I have a Ranchero story. My friend and I bought a 1974 Ranchero from a guy we knew in town for a few hundred dollars. This was about 20 years ago. We immediately set to work cutting two big holes in the bed just behind the cab, and had a custom exhaust...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Update: My daughter and I finally finished the turbo replacement in her car last weekend! Definitely glad that project is done and I have my spot in the garage back for my truck. She's happy to have her car on the road too.

What are you driving until release?

Welcome to the forum! I'm considering leasing a Lightning for 3 years to get me through to when my Scout arrives. Thinking about taking advantage of the incentives before the federal tax credit ends on 9/30. My state has a $7,500 rebate that can be stacked on top of the federal credit, so I'm...

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

Looks like the company makes a few models, some with more energy storage capacity, such as 200 kWh and 300 kWh but they all seem to have the same 120 kW output power. https://chargerigs.com/flexx-mobile-dc-fast-chargers/

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

No, it's a 120 kWH, 120 kW DCFC on a trailer you can tow behind your truck. So, you could run your truck battery dead, charge it from the trailer, and then hit the next fast charger where you could charge the truck and charger. Or, as this thread title suggests, you could probably even use it...

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

You'd probably need a longer cable if you want to actually charge while driving, but this could be the answer to having mobile charging that you can bring anywhere. Kinda makes the Harvester generator obsolete.

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

Us MA folks might be in luck. Previously in this thread, I mentioned the MOR-EV state rebate program which gives a $4,000 rebate but the vehicle price has to be under $55,000. I recently did more research and found out that the program has a rebate for trucks called MOR-EV Trucks. The Ford...
