  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

That color has grown on me. On the website it looked flat black but the desert photo shoot and these pictures really show the blue and silver/gray. Its pretty wild how diverse it looks in different settings.

What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

We keep one of these in each of our cars. They are really potent for their size. https://a.co/d/4xIjr8D

Wait, just hear him out! Something to consider?

Two words MID TERMS! This nonsense cant go on forever, and hype and outrage dont pay the bills.

    New to Scout.

Welcome bud! I agree with others. A great place to start would be checking out the "Suggestion Box" threads. People share ideas there that they want Scout to implement, and more often than not other people will reply with what has already been announced and how likely the ideas can tie into...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

This is a pretty big deal. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/rivians-r2-will-underpin-all-future-volkswagen-evs-exec-says-174047251.html "R2 is the platform that will underpin actually all future EV products at VW," Bensaid said in an interview with Yahoo Finance. "So it's really that modular...

The tax credit is gone and they are adding a regressive EV registration fee. Ugh

What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

You got me thinking. Can EVs jump start cars at all? Apparently Rivians low voltage system is 12v. Teslas too aside from the Cybertruck at 48v. Bidirectional charging can help another EV but I am not sure if Scouts low voltage system will be 12v or not. If so, I hope there are easy to access...

I ran out of chat GPT prompts but I would love to see some Forestry folks and Park Rangers in Scouts!

"Scout EVs never hassle The Hoff when they have the Harvester Generator." (I uploaded a photo of the Traveler but Chat GPT is still doing Chat GPT things) Not a bad idea for the application though. They dont need to drive far and could be plugged in at their towers.

What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

Just a fun discussion prompt. Once Scout takes off and ramps up production capacity they could start eyeing larger commercial contracts. As an American company they could compete in some government and private sectors for fleet deals. What are some areas you could see the Scouts being...

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

Tried and true rear suspension for solid axles and offroad capability would be a separate shock and coil spring setup. Coilovers are more complex, and expensive. They also need a lot of room to have meaningful amounts of travel. My buddy has King coilovers on his Dana 60 swapped GX470. We had...

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

Trying to be optimistic here. But I feel the base Scout will be on par with the TRD Pro 4Runner and Trailhunter. The TRD Pro functional offroad features are a mild lift, rear locker, some extra traction control software, and EKDSS (sway bar disconnect). The only thing a base Scout would...
