  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

Call me crazy, but I think baring drive train (due to it being an EV or EREV) most the car will be just as capable of being modified or repaired as other cars.

I will be calling someone for nearly everything I guess because I am a "Beta Male" whatever that means

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Agreed. Although at this point I am really rooting for it to succeed because Stelantis can't afford to have another brand implode. Plus if this comes out and it raises people's interest in EREV/Range extended Hybrids in America then thats only good news for the Harvester and Scout

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I am not entirely sure that is correct. Car and Driver and wikipedia/RAM both say that it will be body on frame https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a63918006/2026-ramcharger-phev-2025-ram-1500-compared/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_1500_Ramcharger...

As amazing as that is (love to see the sites being developed in California and Illinois) those won't get up and running for years. Would love to just see cheaper solar more readily available. Yet if we could get all of the rich land-grant universities that have good nuclear projects to each...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

One of their unintended purposes is to also absolutely make me fall in love with the travelers interior and exterior color. I don't really know what other options there could be that could dissuade me from that (although give me the glass top)

You would be surprised at how easy it is to patent something when you have a large amount of lawyers and a little creativity (Nervously looking at my own team).

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Agreed! I was going to say, the interior designs of the new Jeeps, Wagoneer, and Rams are the ONLY high spots of those cars for me lol

Who else do we want to do a hands on review?

The guys from Savagegeese! (But they are very very picky and nerdy so I would love for them to get a year 2 model or something)

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I mean I might be correct, but considering the motor is just a generator and not being used to drive the wheels you might not see a power drop at all due to elevation (it just might charge slower so your range would be lower)?

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I think the EREV Terra will be able to beat the EREV Traveler, so I would wait until that is specifically characterized. Because the 2k drop that we now know in the Traveler should only result in a ~7k towing for the Terra. But again we just need to have a definitive engineering answer, rather...

Honestly the current spec of the Traveler mule they have (minus the cabana top) is exactly what I want (unless the other colors are gorgeous)

Honestly apart from the towing (which is slightly sad, but at the same time....my desire to tow a trailer is hypothetical right now) I am happy with the news. A 15 Gal tank means that the harvester will only need to hit 23-24mpg to achieve the 350 mile range (Which sounds super doable). Air...
