  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What will you typical cargo look like in your Scout?

Honestly my typical cargo will be two comically large gym bags and a hopper of tennis balls. At least once a month (depending on the season) snowboard/skis or bikes.

Actual dimensions based on what we configure

Just get yourself an LSAM or a BAAM and go to town! There might be a few for sale currently.

there are so many different versions of this meme and every single time I see it at work I laugh out loud (This is very applicable to me).

Also patents are not difficult to file or get when you have a dedicated legal team and engineers with a history of it. Additionally the amount of patents that are incredibly similar to one another but might be slightly different in a key way is enormous. And unless you are working for a...

Scout Motors At Outside Festival 2025

The Traveler in that spec is so hot. I genuinely have no idea how else I would spec it

What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

I was out in California for New Years and saw some Rivian lifeguard trucks, they looked SO good

I like the look of that way more then the Slate. But that pricing is suspect, I think a lot of Chinese automakers (I am like 99% sure that BYD is being open about this) are chopping their prices down to eliminate Tesla from the domestic market. So I wouldn't be surprised if it ever comes to...

    Young Scout Enthusiasts!

Camping/Hiking/Snowboarding! I am lucky to have a job where I can often flex time and take 3-day weekends without much notification. So my girlfriend and I are often traveling for those three reasons within a "5-hour drive" radius. Additionally, my car is the primary driver and I often need to...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I have to admit I kind-of love watching my budget get absolutely blown up when we start adding more people for a project. "What happened with our budget in January?" "Well we did throw an extra 8 engineers on this"

Also considering what the proposed specs are for the SLATE I think the Hand-built custom Scout "Show-Models" might be as usable as the SLATE test mules :ROFLMAO:

This article is written very odd, they keep talking about fear in America but then reference UK government officials. IDK, these fears are always funny to fixate on when even our traditional energy grid (and other "Grids" see Operation Salt Typhoon) is incredibly easy to get access to. Members...

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

Honestly I think the EV Terra should be able to? Isn't the full EV going to be able to tow like 10k? I think the EPX-10 and -8 (Which is my fav) are under 9k. Which IMO is a little tight to the tow range but whatever we are playing make-believe with the capabilities of everything right now.

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

Dam bar for bar this is exactly what I was looking for (Although personally I would switch out the Tactile Buttons for Scout if I was ranking it Most -> Least)

INL is a great national lab with some super talented folks, but I hope that Oak Ridge leans a little more on Y-12 and gets back into the game. Oak Ridge has double the budget of INL and was the birthplace for the first "real" nuclear reactor (U-Chicago's was not designed for continuous use) (I...
