  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I need a single axle version of this that can be towed by the EREV Traveler so fricken bad

Honestly call me crazy but that doesn't seem like terrible pricing. Especially with the R2 (probably a larger vehicle as well) coming in the 45k + mark. Really sets the stage for R3 (please please happen) being in the 35k-50k price range

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

The costs alone for large scale production tooling is mind-blowing. Not to mention the time you will need to spend on training techs and assembly of the tools.

Great points with the fact that even your base input costs are increasing, and if they have not yet....they will in the future no doubt. Additionally the capital required to build the factory and R&D is astronomical. Scout has been spending cash on engineering and R&D while not selling anything...

Or try snowboarding! That for sure is a cheap hobby that doesn't require thousands of dollars a year just to use a shitty chair

Well that would imply that the FTC or any regulatory agencies do something (but Ill see myself out)

I just want to point out that we are like 5 more mergers away from only having to purchase like two subscriptions and then we are back to satellite basically. Disney gives me Disney +, Hulu, ESPN and if this goes through the Netlix can get me HBO.

Agreed! I think we need more unique colors and a deep purple is a fun way to go. Not sure I would throw it on the R1T, but on the R1S (with black wheels as well) I think it looks really good.

I LOVE all of the small commercial or "semi-commercial" EV trucks that are coming out. Just makes so much sense in my mind to have a really basic truck that can get ~100 miles with a usable payload for a lot of local deliveries. I know for a fact at my work something like the Bollinger would...

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

Honestly the biggest thing that would make me consider switching is if my future house had a dedicated solar panel system or the ability to add a L2 charger (or really any dedicated wall charger that could give me 40+ Amps) . Currently my fiance and I are renting and for the next 4-5 years it...

Rivian is really doing very well. Especially considering that they are really only selling a BMW/Audi/Merc competitor and not something in a lower price bracket.

Not to sound dumb, but my address in the "account" section on the Scout Website applies right?

Agree on all points. I also think (if this is true, which is a fair question) is that it also more or less puts a price cap on Scouts. If you have a LRD/G-Wagon rival being built on the same platform that is what will take the top price bracket. That being said I hope they aim whatever...

Especially because wasn't one of their advantages over a non-Tesla EV that they had the best infotainment setup? Like at this point why not get a BMW i4?

God please let it be towable behind a EREV Traveler
