New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Please no Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT for me. I have a set on my Jeep right now and thinking of disposing them at less than 4k miles due to the road noise.
Trail ready, probably apt. Looks like something for a city bicycle trail more than off-road. Oversized rims really let those sidewalls absorb off-road terrain. 18" inch on 35's looks right for me, abet I have 15" on 33's on my LJ. For other than road only use (low profile helps cornering), I don't understand the quest for larger diameter rims. Its not as if the tires are cheaper because they use less materials. That said, I might be bias - but every low profile tire I have used seemed to have very little durability. I think my Golf's tires start leaking at 2years (I have gone through 4 sets so far I think - including the most complete blow out of my life. Left the car sitting on sidewalls only - tread completely peeled off).

Thinking about @LastDayScout ’s interior with the walnut-wondering if it would look cool maybe for launch if the metal inlay in the seatback was done in wood with an engraved Scout logo. Any thoughts?

This build puts me back in the Scout game. The version with the tire carrier meant my husband would have to sacrifice his large (other EV) to fit both his and mine in our garage. Now we can peacefully coexist

So I spent the day in Annapolis today. Took a schooner sail then walked down town. Someone mentioned regional influences the other day and I had mentioned sail cloth. Anyway-walked into a shop that had women’s bags of different sizes and uses but all were made with used sailcloth. Most were from France but inside each bag was a tag the listed the boats name and the areas of Europe it sailed. Some amazing patterns and color accents and started thinking again how cool a material like sailcloth could be. (No pictures-sales team hovered over us the whole time-apparently we look really wealthy or we look like shoplifters-neither true but anyway). Did find a few examples online

Boulder is the name Hyundai is using for their body on frame off-road concept. It's been talked about here. It's probably rattling around in your head!
It is a good name, and fits the designs we’ve seen.
I can give it a try, but I’m not 100% sure I know what you are referring to.
As long as whatever it’s made of doesn’t catch long hair.
I would prefer it just be stitched/embroidered rather than be a solid piece of anything.
I'd like something a bit in the middle. I would hate to give up a full spare. Most of my driving will be on-road but snow, ice, occasional camping, etc... I wonder how the efficiency changes between these tires/wheels and the trail ready version.
I agree about the wood. I'd have to see it in person. Probably would look better with a more solid interior, but tartans, plaids, and this wood... Not quite sure.
I'm for any option that eradicates gum balls from my yard.
