AMP power steps

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Amp power steps works with a lot of manufacturers to include power steps. If you guys aren't going to include power steps, at least allow them to come in early to inspect the dimensions of the vehicle so they can make power steps readily available when the trucks go on delivery. Having a bad back I need power steps with my traveler harvester and I don't want to wear my seats out sliding off the side of them.

First time posting here (!!) even though I've been a reservation holder since Day 1. Recently found this forum after looking for a little more interaction given the Wayfinder website Scout has that I was invited to doesn't have nearly the interaction as there is here.

I couldn't agree with this more. My family is going to need some sort of step and I'd prefer a power step vs. a stationary one. From what I can gather so far, the step in height on the Traveler with 35" tires (my desired spec) looks to be similar my Silverado ZR2 that I had before my current R1T. That thing was a beast to get in and out of. It was fine for me, but my wife and young son had a heck of a time.

Thanks for sharing your first post and enjoy the crazy amount of info on here. If it helps, the search button will probably lead you to any/all topics you’d like to be a part of. Welcome aboard

Was lucky enough to sit in the traveler and as set-yes, a step is gonna be a necessity and if priced right an electric step will be great. Scout has noted it will work with aftermarket for features so I suspect somebody will want in on that opportunity as everyone is seeing the lifted look of the prototype and it is great
