Don’t be shy, say hi!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
New here as well! I've had a reservation since they were first opened up, but price may lead me to cancel come 2027. Hopefully not, but we'll see!
I’m in the same situation. The concept vehicles are fantastic and I would love to own one, so I’m really hoping to cash in my reservation when they’re launched. I’m still trying to determine what all I need to sell and how many additional jobs I need to save up enough to make it reality by the time it comes around. At least I have some time to get it all done! :)

Only 174 days until the “halfway” point of 2026. Which is July 2nd. But since it’s Scout and Merica! Might as well call July 4th the half way point. So 176 Days.

And Scout will hopefully begin production on the 21st of October the date when the last Scout rolled off in 1980. Who’s to say that Scout Motors won’t begin production on the date International left off. Might as well start on October 21st of 2027.
But it is much closer. We are a third of the way there since reveal!
That makes it sound MUCH closer! I know...I know... "faith and patience" :ROFLMAO:

Like that idea. So long as I’m fortunate enough to get mine in ‘27

Hi Cure. Got a question for you. How many Terra BEVs do you think Scout can build thier first year of production? I am guessing that 50 % of the reservation will turn into actual purchases. So if I cut my reservation number in half then subtract the number of projected Terra s first year i could have an idea how long after production starts i may get mine. It could be well over a year right. I reserved in Dec 2024.

Opps I just checked my number. To many digits. Wonder there is a way to figure what place your in from that number
Our reservations are just place holders, once orders go live and start being accepted then positions will be given properly, sine they’ll probably batch out pre orders, then first come first serve so to speak. Atleast that’s how I assume the conversation process will work

There is a thread on (NOT) decoding your reservation number...

However, being an engineer and a love for math, I have cracked the code given a few hints from an insider at Scout Motors. I was planning on running this by @SpaceEVDriver since he is THE EV MATH WIZARD on this forum and the entire internet as far as I'm concerned. But I know there are some that aren't fully into "Faith and Patience" so here's an unverified decipher until @SpaceEVDriver can check my work. Use with caution. I am not responsible for any physical or mental harm that may result. Please...PLEASE don't share outside this forum. This is only for my friends here in this community.

To decipher the Ultimate Cryptographic Variable (our "Reservation Code Number"), we must first account for the gravitational pull of a single blueberry located in Brussels, the emotional state of a nearby pigeon, and the sheer audacity of the number 7.

The following formula, known as the Hyper-Recursive Nonsense Theorem, is used to extract the sequential order of your new Scout build from the cosmic noise.

As good as any at this point. 😂

My opinion, for what it’s worth, there will be multiple factors in play that will determine when we get our Scouts. Not only when we made our reservation, but which model, and when it’s time to place our order what options and color we select. I fully expect reservation holders who made theirs later may go sooner because what they order is what’s being produced first.

I know I say faith and patience all the time, but that’s honestly what it is. There is a long game involved in this. Yes production starts next year, but they have said end of the year and I expect there will be a limited number of orders filled in 2027. More in 2028 and then ramping up to full production as they move forward.

Look at Rivian. Now they have vehicles available on their website and you can order one and get it relatively quickly. Scout will get there. It’s just going to take time.

Faith and patience.
