Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I dont think the confusion is on SM behalf but rather than those who fail to do their due diligence before posting a video or message. SM has been pretty clear on 350miles on EV +150 on range extender.
Exactly this. Mileage ranges have been clearly stated time and time again. People just need to read/listen and report correctly

funny just off FB and man people are confused,I think more info on the Scout website would help, heck any info on the Scout website would help....Let's Go Scout!!!... any new news on pricing???
Problem is like everything else on FB. People just say what they think whether it’s true or not

There’s a combination of misspeaking, mishearing, rumor-mongering, and these days the automotive news is flooded with ai-written slop.

Just today there was an “article” about a non-existent class-action lawsuit against Ford for a thing that never happened. But a thing similar had been mentioned in the forums so a generative ai bot picked up on it, “wrote” an “article” about it, and now it’s a thing and people are wringing their hands about it, which feeds into the ai echo chamber.

Honestly, things are so bad that it’s almost necessary to create a thread or subforum here (and on the other Scout forums) where people just repost the information that’s known so the trawlers for ai slop are flooded with factual information...

Just saw this on the new Scout Motors blog. I’m thinking they enhanced the video because I have yet to see the pacific mist look this saturated but I really wish the color looked like this 100% of the time. Absolutely love this tone
The yellow DRLs and that blue. Is so sweet. I can’t wait to see the next colors. When that visualizer comes out.

Sounds like a good thread to start.

Trust me I would know. I fell for it twice this week. And the one time I posted about it. Lol. Made my Gen Z self feel like a 90 year old.

I dont think the confusion is on SM behalf, SM has been pretty clear on 350miles on pure electric + an additional 150 on range extender, totaling 500miles. The confusion occurs due to those who fail to do their due diligence before posting a video or message outside of SM.

It is this sort of messaging that causes the confusion.
  • The BEV is up to 350 miles pure electric.
  • The EREV is up to 150 miles pure electric with the Harvester (generator) adding up to 350 miles for a total range of 500 miles.
Saying it the way you did leads people to think that the EREV has 350 miles of electric range when it does not.

I am not familiar with a “MESSAGE SEATS” feature. How does it work? Does it give haptic feed back when you use the touch screen or start straying out of your lane? Or something else.

@Jamie@ScoutMotors -im confused by @cyure ’s early post about assuming and now she’s being rude and won’t tell me what it means! Please make her tell me, I feel silly that I don’t know and hurt that she won’t answer the question she posed. I thought this group of members was open to educating future EV owners
