I’m so excited for this vehicle and I am really hoping this vehicle stays simple like the old days of scout. I understand in this day and age that WiFi/Bluetooth will be integrated, but may we have an option to disable them like we can on a phone with airplane mode? I wanted a Rivian but I passed due to it having an always on Bluetooth signal with no option to disable. I would love Scout to have an option to have a physical key. I don’t want to use my phone as a key cause I don’t use a phone.
I have an RF sensitivity. I believed it developed after 8 years of cancer. For three years after I was in pain and could not sleep. The doctors and my wife tried everything. It wasn’t until I read of someone with similar symptoms caused by RF that I decided to add it to my long list of things to try. I was 99% sure it would not help like everything else we tried. Once we got around to disabling all RF signals in the house I was shocked the next day that the pain was gone and I slept like a baby. I have since discovered a lot more people like me.
Even though these aren’t very powerful signals the proximity of WiFi/bluetooth antennas in a vehicle is often too close to the driver so an option to disable would be amazing. Thank you for considering and I am happy to give more details of my condition if you would like.
Edit: Also, please no tracking services like OnStar, or Toyota Care. These also have constant signals that are impossible to stop without removing hardware or fuses.
