Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
View attachment 8861I think the front grill got cluttered. I think it's the color changes. In the earlier prototype the section of the grill that runs behind "Scout" is lighter and the sections above and below it were darker. I like that better because the darker headlights and the section of grill that connect them (upper set and lower set) are all dark. And the marker lights (shown on in this photo) are connected by a section of grill that is lighter. Switching it to the current configuration results in a more busy and somewhat confused front.

Below is the original grill configuration. Hope this all makes sense.

I think that is just a lighting illusion. The black strip behind the logo dividing the grill has always been black.

Design team is absolutely killing it! The two tone interior is gorgeous, the exterior color fits perfectly with the mil spec wheel and tire combo, and the orange DRL’s look so much better than white lighting. This setup with these accessories is making me want to switch back to the Terra. This team is absolutely on the right path, and looks to be willing and able to give us what we want, and by doing so there will be something for any kind of buyer.

Welcome to the community! You don’t have to switch your reservation. We aren’t locked in until we place our actual order and at that time we can order either Terra or Traveler and either BEV or Harvester.

Welcome again and have fun on here. There’s lots of info!

And then comes the Payyy — ain! :p

I hope there will be a bed cover, perhaps electric? Would love to stash my surfboard or bike in there while at work, for quick access to use soon after clocking out... Otherwise, looks great.

Meanwhile, my jeep is still on 15's...

:P.

But really, as I was sort of out of touch with the offroading world/media for a decade or so, when I came back here and saw people talking about 17's, 18's, and 20's as "offroading" options, I was super confused at first. "WHY ARE THEY ROLLING ON 20's!?!?".
A lot of guys were running 35”s with 15” wheels for extreme stuff back in the day.

Now 37”s and 40”s are on mall crawlers; probably ending up with the same amount of sidewall on the larger wheels.

Welcome!

It’s a 5.5ft bed so I’m not sure if those will fit unless you are removing the front wheel on the bike, and run a Shorty board on the waves.
