2025 prototype paint project preferred colors

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Since we are touching base on the next round of prototype colors why not start a new thread. No voting but what’s your top choice of Terra and Traveler colors? We’ll see which color camps end up the closest.

Knowing the Terra just did Baja, I’m thinking an earthy sand/gray beige for the Terra and for the traveler I’m hoping to see a bright vintage blue/green color.
What’s your guess?

Ahhh yellow. ☺️

I do agree with J that a tan color would be great since they just had the race truck out at Baja.

Also it would be cool if they took that green rendering of the Traveler and actually made it, wheels and bumpers and winch and all.

I’m just so excited to see other colors. I can’t wait.

Is the Scout going to be your "last car"?
That’s the plan. My husband has his Supra and we have said that when we are too old to get down into the Supra and up into the Scout we will pass both down to the kids or grandkids and get a champagne colored crossover. Ha! But I plan on that not being until we are 85. 😹

How about you?

Im only 37, but my current daily driver is over 20 years old.

I dont mind holding onto something for a long time, but thats a LONG time...

At this time the only reason I could see myself trading it in, is if they offer a Travelall a few years after they launch the Traveler.

Otherwise it would probably be given to my older-middle son in about 10 years. Hes the most mature of the bunch and really enjoys the outdoors and art projects. Definitely the rolling stone type. It would be perfect for him.

Yeah that would be too long. We have 20+ years on you. Ha!

I need a sexy color on my terra. The bright or medium blue similar to the last series Tacoma blue or current Silverado blue, a vintage mint green color would be cool or like that marine blue/green, if I can’t get one of those cool colors that pop I’ll go with a bright red. I’m not into the dark or desert matte colors that are popular these days, or black wheels, can’t stand those. Hope Terra can have a lift option. That’s all

Welcome!

Cant speak to colors, but youll have the choice of both standard height coil springs, variable height air springs, or lifted coil springs for BOTH the Terra and Traveler.

Ah now that makes sense. When I was at Nats I asked if the Traveler was “lifted”. I was informed it’s not “lifted”, but it’s an off-road setup.

They may be right. I could have sworn I read you would be able to select between a standard and lifted height spring, but I cant find it.

Having one height for the standard and offroad packages would be unusual. Especially if they offer 33"s and 35"s.

This is all we have for an official answer right now.
