Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Does Rivian have some variation of that green? There is a green Rivian down the street that looks to be the same color but it is Flat not Gloss. Looks a little military.
Rivian does have a dark green but there's a lot of gold flake in it. Kind of reminds me of Porsche's Oak Green Metallic (side note, Rivian Blue reminds me of Porsche's Oslo Blue and RJ cut his teeth on 356's so maybe there's a connection?).

I would say 90's green had more blue in it and a silver pearlescence that didn't pop as much. Here are two very popular 90's greens...

I love British racing green on other people’s cars 😀. As the Scouts aren’t British we should have a tweak. Still like the glimpse of green SM showed at reveal on the video screen. Looked even better in person on screen

I said some time ago as the bland colors go SM could skip white but offer a vanilla tone (similar to the right side Ineos) then it would at least be unique but still bland and …wait for it…. Just plain Vanilla. 🤣
Yes exactly. I call it cream but vanilla works too. I think the Scout would look really good in that color with Rallye stripes.

And a bright white roof-then you’d know it’s an off white. Very classic like the old Porsche speedsters and vehicles from the 50’s
Ohhh. Thats my second choice now after Tahitian yellow. Uhh I mean blue. Aqua marine blue that’s it. Everyone go get blue. Hehe. 🤣

That did a very good job. Maybe better that the photoshop ones going around. Nice work.
Did you use the Scout color chips?
No Scout chips were used.
My prompts were essentially this
:shows Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato pic as I posted itt along with a Scout pic from the reveal event:
"Change the color of the Scout to the color as seen on the Aston Martin"

"That's a bit bright, can you make it more subdued?"

That paint looks non-metallic. Can you make it look like a metallic pic? Here's another reference image for the kind of color I'm going for.

And you saw the final result. What I love about this green is it look very calming, highlights sculpting of the body, and complements the black trimmings seen around the vehicle. If Scout uses this color I'll buy it however I want a say in color name :D.

NB: I have ChatGPT Plus but I believe you can do it with regular ChatGPT although you'll be limited on the number of pics you can do.

Love the shade on the AM but doesn’t look as good on Scout. Color is different but the actual color is beautiful

Agreed. I don't want Aston Martin Almond Green Pearl on a Scout, bare in mind with ChatGPT you have to steer it in roughly the direction you're going and that paint got me to that sage green metallic I was looking for.
