  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Previous Wrangler owner (x2) now waiting on a serious, but fun (sic) cross-country EV. Eyeing Wrangler, Bronco, and now Scout. Values capabilities over looks. Practical experience in off-road driving around the world including true wilderness.
I love take long road trips to explore the Western US and get my kids out into nature. We just finished a 900+ mile, 4 day trip through parts of the Mojave the lower Sierra Nevada mountains and the Southern California coastline. Other times we venture much further.

I work in manufacturing here in California, designing, assembling and testing electro-acoustic transducers.

Hi, Jamie, Chris
My name is Barry, I am a Brand Ambassador of a Solar EV company, I am excited about the new Scout and it's an EV.
My family were sharecroppers in the sixties. I experienced Scout International harvest equipment and now I get to
be in their future.
Will Scout Motors offer a Brand Ambassador reservation system?

(PS) Scout an old school not fear the future.
I'm happy to see someone has taken up the name to bring a popular icon back into the future. I own 4 old Scouts, look forward to what is to come.
Hi! First time here! The new factory is going to be in South Carolina! Just miles from my home! Any other SC folks here?
Hi Jamie,

I posted the Travelette. It belongs to a friend of my father in law. Feel free to dm me and I will give you the owner's contact info, he is happy to provide the background!
I would like to see the grill stay original as possible. W/ round headlights. And the hood or frunk to open like the original, hinges near grill. Without the hood lifts but rather the same style hood prop. One of my favorite things to do is open the hood on my 1974 SCOUT 11.

Yup, this tailgate IS the new standard. Everyone else is playing catch-up to this.

Now I am curious to the longevity... because if it's weak/not durable AND thousands to fix, then I'll pass.

A 1976-79 Traveler on 33s and converted would fit the bill perfectly...
Hey Andy! I'm really digging your Scout collection there, where are you based out of, if you don't mind me asking? Would love to chat sometime if you have 30 min free.
