What government and private sectors could you see Scout being successful in commercially? (Police, military, S&R, Delivery, etc)

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Just a fun discussion prompt.

Once Scout takes off and ramps up production capacity they could start eyeing larger commercial contracts.

As an American company they could compete in some government and private sectors for fleet deals.

What are some areas you could see the Scouts being successful in?

CA life guarding and I want the Hoff representing! 🤣
"Scout EVs never hassle The Hoff when they have the Harvester Generator."

(I uploaded a photo of the Traveler but Chat GPT is still doing Chat GPT things)

Not a bad idea for the application though. They dont need to drive far and could be plugged in at their towers.

I was big on all those same groups as well. Is there a way that Triple AAA could use the scout’s power to jump a dead battery? That would be cool. Use them as the basic service trucks
You got me thinking. Can EVs jump start cars at all? Apparently Rivians low voltage system is 12v. Teslas too aside from the Cybertruck at 48v.

Bidirectional charging can help another EV but I am not sure if Scouts low voltage system will be 12v or not.

If so, I hope there are easy to access battery lugs or bus bar in the frunk.

I assume there will be a healthy power supply there if there is a factory winch option.

I've jump started ice vehicles with both the Lightning and the Mustang. I carry a 120v to 12v battery booster, so even if it was an issue to jump from the LVB, I could give people a boost.

I have a fire extinguisher in my car always. When I was 18 my 74 z28 caught on fire. But I put it out myself! So I always carry one.
I don’t carry an extinguisher anymore (EVs are about 150x less likely to catch fire than fossil fuel-based vehicles). I’ve been meaning to put one back in the vehicles though because I live near a forest that’s always in danger of wildfires.
