Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Wow... Now I am second guessing the color I originally intended to go with on build day. Nice color!
The Scout designers and engineers are obviously very talented so maybe in the next two years they can develop a Scout chameleon skin that the color can be selected on screen and change dynamically. Then depending on your mood, you could select Tahitian Red, Pacific Blue Mist and hmmm... there was this other color...ah yes... PBY! I'm sure it's in there. Maybe with the addition of a saturation slider. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

As promised, here is the first new color, Pacific Mist, on the Traveler and the first part of the retheme. A few of the details include new Pacific Mist paint in a shade of blue. The original reveal wheels are now black, matching well with the new black roof and black door handles. Also new are concept multi-function roof rails, giving a hint at future roof-mounted accessories.

The design team decided to push the envelope with an interior finished in a Terracotta leather and "denim-inspired" fabric. In person, it looks good with this exterior color. I'll snap some more pictures here in New York and post them later.

I really like this color but can you make it flat, not so metallic shiny?

I feel the same way. I keep saying creamy teal blue but same similar idea

As long as you mean a non-metallic paint and not paint with a matte finish. Matte finish paints are a huge pain in the butt to maintain. I would NEVER want it on on a truck or SUV, and especially not something I'd take off-road.
Yeah, it's not really a flat matte finish that I'm talking about but I'm not sure the right way to describe it. You see it on a lot of Japanese vehicles but I've also seen the type paint I'm talking about on Ford Bronco Sports. That and there's a cool non-metallic green I've seen on some jeeps.
