Scout Spotters: Post your online finds here

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Whether it’s a rusty project on Facebook Marketplace, a pristine restomod on Bring a Trailer, or a hidden gem buried on Craigslist—let's see it.

Let’s crowdsource the ultimate Scout marketplace and help each other find the next trail rig, restoration candidate, or dream build.

I'll kick it off here...
Found this Vortec Powered 64 80 recently sold on 6/25 on BaT for 53k.

1977 IH Super Scout II, 59k
345 V8, Auto with the original SSII decal package

Super Scouts were purpose built from 77-79 and targeted to compete against the Jeep CJ. Most easily recognizable as an SS with the modified doors, and were produced in limited numbers, approximately 4k.

That integrated winch is really nice. The 70's stripes are little loud for my taste. The vehicle is sweet.

Another Travelall. Especially attractive if you like that survived the OK Corral look.
No association, just found it while browsing for something else.

1967 International travelall

$5,500

I bet that number is higher. I bet there is less than 90K scouts around but just my own hunch
This may give us clue. And a good quick read.

Nice read, 10k seems low but I can count on two hands how many Scouts I've seen in the wild. The Scoit encyclopedia may have this info. I'll check that out tonight.

There's currently a 1974 Scout "cab top" on CL in Maine. 6 cyl, 4 speed. The $12K price tag is a little rich for me though.

There's also a rather rusty 1979 Scout on CL south of Worcester, MA for $5,500. The ad says it's a Traveller, but I thought that long wheel base model was called a Travelall. 345 V8 in this one.

Wow! And I thought that 74 cab top for $12,000 was pricey.

This 1971 Scout 800B restomod on Ebay makes it look like a bargain. Anybody got a spare $284,900 burning a hole in their pocket?
