Scout Concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona, April 25, 2026

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Ummm. CES had people inside th concepts. Cyure and JAlynn havesat in them. Your point is invalid.
I had to ask permission and was at a small event. When I was at Nats I did not get to. Do select people get to sit in them, such as influencers or car reviewers? Yes. Are they going to open these up like a production 4Runner and let everyone climb all over them? No.

I just want to set expectations for people going to see them. If you ask to sit in them most likely the answer is going to be no, and for good reason.

I'm going to be there Sunday for as long as I can in the hopes of seeing the Traveler but I'm going to post next week for request pics  (y)
Request is as many as you can and any details that are new or details we haven’t seen a lot of. Like what is the stitching pattern on the Terra and if new interior get shots of every detail possible, start big picture then zoom to areas then zoom in to the details

yes look but dont touch it may fall apart, and its very expensive, wow what a concept a concept car you can do nothing to....ugh good luck looking
You complain every time this subject comes up and I’m not sure why. If you aren’t excited enough to travel and look from 5 to 10 feet away maybe there just isn’t a way to make you happy right now. Otherwise, what is your solution to solve the situation. They make 1,000’s of honda accords but that doesn’t mean I want 100’s of people touching or crawling on mine. I just don’t know what you want SM to do for you? The time will come and if your desire is to sit or climb in it then faith and patience is your best bet and the time will eventually come

I second that. I was lucky because there was a good lull and because I had to wait for 45 minutes to get within 10’ because of an influencer I think Jamie and CP1 felt bad so they gave me about 70 seconds. The influencer had way more time and seeing the things he did I can understand why they don’t let the general public in them. Guy almost broke the hatch.

The folks that come see the vehicles and say, "I'm a reservation holder, you have to let me sit in the car." They usually will get a big fat NO!.

The ones that are respectful and understand that these are the only ones in existence may get a chance to take a closer look.

I went out to Leno's garage last year. Guess what? I got to wander around his whole collection and not once did someone tell me to leave. I am respectful of his collection. No one saw me jumping in any of his cars or even touching them.

There is always one or two at our events that feel entitled to these concepts. I've seen people hang off the exterior door handles trying to open the door. And when you ask them to stop, they look at you like they are doing nothing wrong.

Like it states above. These concepts are multi-million dollar vehicles. They have gone above and beyond their intended usage. Ask me how I know? Because I am one of only 2 people that drive them consistently. I have put these 2 vehicles through more than I dare to admit. 2 tracking through the desert in above 100 deg temps. Single digit temps this winter.

So all I ask is to be understanding of what we have invested in these.

Come see me if I'm at an event you attend. :)

If you catch me at the right time, I may let you sneak past security.....

Thanks @CP1@scoutmotors for expanding on this topic. Also I would just like to say to those of you who get to see them in Arizona, even if you can’t sit in them, it’s still worth it to go. They are amazing to look at and the SM staff is wonderful to talk to. They are very generous with their time and answered every question I had, even if sometimes they just had to say we don’t have an answer to that yet. They never shut me down or made me feel like I didn’t have a place to ask. I have seen them twice and I am ready to go back again. I can’t wait!

You would think this would be common sense. Even buying a new car, I am very protective of it because I know how hard and long it took to make the money for the purchase. I get it... but yet I am from the older generation who I feel respect for others property a lot more. Hope to see you guys in Columbia soon...maybe I'll see ya there and possibly "catch you at the right time"...if not, no feelings hurt! I appreciate how Scout is sharing as they are. I know a lot of time and effort goes into what you do for us.

Unfortunately, the further we get from the pre-internet generation the less common sense people will have. I am absolutely looking forward to SEEING either the Terra or Traveler, (hopefully both) in Columbia next Sunday, so I'll see you there. (y)

I wanna punch someone for leaning on my 10-year old sedan with 100k miles on it, so I know I'm not the right person to run security at a Scout event. Or maybe I am. :ROFLMAO:

Agent K travels with them and I asked her in Chicago if she was ready to take someone down if they got out of line, she said yes and I completely believe her. The Scouts are in good hands.

And bring a snickers bar or chocolate treat. Treats on an 8 hour public event day plus all the other nonsense goes a long way. And if not- I’ll say sir-you were a delight to talk to in NYC, as was Agent K and it goes both ways-you engaging us makes me show even more respect.
