Scout Concepts in Blythewood, South Carolina, April 20, 2026

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
The 4 10s schedule is nice for those within the agency that are primarily office bound… maxi-flex is a little confusing for fieldwork based work, at least for me lol… so I’m sticking with straight 8s… hardest part is remembering to submit for OT and TCTO when I’m deployed…
It is horribly confusing!! I have such a love/hate relationship with maxiflex. I now have my planned schedule in PeoplePlus as straight 8s but do 4 10s. But before xmas I had my planned schedule as the 4 10s and when we got the extra day for xmas I needed to move vacation around to make up the difference between the 8 hours of holiday they gave us and the 10 hours of vacation I had needed. But I couldn't put vacation on my CDOs so I had nowhere to put it. It was almost Feb before it got straightened out. With straight 8s I can put vacation on any day. Sorry if all that is as clear as mud

I have sooo many corrections to make over the next several weeks… we’re down on manpower and getting site IDs setup and accounts added to peopleplus is at a standstill… I can’t even get TOs setup for my contractors right now… life’s great, everything’s fine… 🤦‍♂️

yep - I'm laughing so I don't cry right now for sure. All we can do is do our best and keep each other's spirits up. Fingers crossed for us all

The Traveler is going to be living up to it's name. I'm not sure where the concepts were after the LA show, but @CP1@scoutmotors said the Traveler would be on the road from California to SC and likely would not make the Columbia shows on Saturday and Sunday (April 18 and 19), but would be at Blythewood on Monday. Then it's back across the country to Scottsdale? Sheesh.

Maybe the concepts were getting their do over after the LA show.

The Traveler was the same in December in Chicago as the auto show. So maybe after the holidays? 🤷‍♀️. I just can’t wait for you all to start sending pictures!!

Didn't Jamie post a picture recently from a commercial shoot of the traveller as it appeared in LA just with the tire carrier
Yes he did. The tire carrier is the same on the Traveler, just sometimes it has a tire in it and sometimes it has the backpack in it. We haven’t seen one without a tire carrier yet.

I can’t imagine taking the Scout to that DC circus. With all the political unrest the event at DC is a fuse waiting to be lit and I’d hate to fend off the two Scouts if any kind of rioting would occur.
With me in my red and black flannel uniform and the raccoon hat which has been made. No rioting would be likely to happen anywhere near the Scouts. Rioters would come up and be instantly taken out by bear spray and the brut force of my spurs on my boots that I will be wearing.
