As someone planning to tow a 3,000 lb off-road trailer behind the Scout Traveler Harvester, I’d like to request an essential feature for the towing and overlanding community: a weather-sealed 120V AC outlet positioned directly at the rear receiver hitch assembly.
Currently, powering a trailer's onboard battery system or Victron charger via the driver-side rear quarter panel V2L port requires running an AC cable down the exterior body panel while driving. This creates drag, cable slack, and potential paint damage on trails.
Placing a rugged IP67-rated 120V AC outlet alongside the standard 7-pin trailer connector (or providing an underbody floor pass-through grommet from the cargo area outlet) would allow clean, hidden routing straight to the trailer tongue. This small addition would make the Scout Traveler the ultimate self-sustaining tow rig for off-grid overlanders!"
