I'm curious if future Scout owners would find it helpful to have an easy way to remove the rear seats! Thanks.
I would be fine with a back seat that folds completely flat vs. a quick remove option.I'm curious if future Scout owners would find it helpful to have an easy way to remove the rear seats! Thanks.
I second this. Flat fold is a convenience anytime and for anything. Pulling seats eventually strips bolt heads and loosens the connection to the body putting seat break away during an impact/collision as a potential death. Saw it occur on a vehicle once but my sister didn’t die-luckily.I would be fine with a back seat that folds completely flat vs. a quick remove option.
Quick remove would eliminate an elevated space for when it is needed. Fold down flat would cause a bit of a raise in the back area as I understand. Thanks though for your feedback.I would be fine with a back seat that folds completely flat vs. a quick remove option.
Great for adults tooI don't know about removable rear seats, but 1 thing my grand cherokee had was reclining rear seats. Was awesome for little kids
I'd vote for easy/modular removable back seats! As a former Great Dane owner I had to convert a RAV4, into effectively a minivan, by removing the rear seats and building a platform to level the entire back compartment.I'm curious if future Scout owners would find it helpful to have an easy way to remove the rear seats! Tesla offered them in the Model S until 2018. I don't think they're illegal, just unpopular.Rear facing third row! Roadmaster style!
Jk. There's probably laws.
As long as they are sold aftermarket they don’t require any federal safety regulations.Tesla offered them in the Model S until 2018. I don't think they're illegal, just unpopular. View attachment 5533
It appears, and early on I had requested 40/20/40 seats so you can still run stuff down the middle without losing a main rear seat. The splits in the seats at reveal appeared to be that configurationJust do both for ultimate flexibility with seat bottoms and seat backs being foldable or removable separately. Instead of bolts to remove the seats, use large hand knobs so special tools aren't required. With 60/40 or 70/30 split, you'd have four removable pieces, so you have the option of removing one rear seat, two rear seats or all three, while giving more storage for road trips in the removed section. Fold flat seats still take up a lot of volume when left in the vehicle.
Great, smaller seats for me to remove when needed! Wouldn't want to strain my back!It appears, and early on I had requested 40/20/40 seats so you can still run stuff down the middle without losing a main rear seat. The splits in the seats at reveal appeared to be that configuration
