  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Load Mode

I have mentioned wanting this feature in other threads but hadn't seen how some manufacturers implement it up in a convenient way until now.

Was watching the Sarah-N-Tuned review of the 2025 Nissan Armada Pro4X this morning and it has buttons in the rear cargo area to drop and raise the suspension from the back of the car to make loading/unloading things easier.

It would be really helpful and convenient if the Terra and Traveler with the air bag option had something similar to drop the load floor down when you're loading up groceries, tools, lawnmowers, dirt bikes, kiddos, or just want to sit down on the rear tail gate without jumping up.

One press could drop the rear air bags.

Double pressing could drop the front and rear. (like kneel mode)

Holding it could drop the rear and raise the front if you really need the tailgate as close to the ground as possible..

Obviously this would only be enabled when parked so goobers cant run around doing the Carolina Squat thing but it would be a back saver.

My Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has buttons on the center console for this, with 5 height settings, but the caveat is that the air suspension will not adjust while any doors are open (including the rear liftgate), ostensibly to prevent injury? Not sure how injury could occur but whatever. I mostly use this when connecting my car hauler, and going from one extreme to the other only takes about 20 seconds. For example, with all doors closed and engine running, I set the Quadra Lift system to entry/exit which is it's lowest setting. Once there, I reverse the vehicle until my hitch ball is under the trailer's coupler (seen via rear camera). I put the vehicle in park and then select the highest height setting, then I open the door and exit the vehicle (it pauses the transition until I close the door again). I move to the rear of the vehicle and connect the chains and electrical while the vehicle lifts the hitch ball into the coupler, lock the coupler in place, rotate the trailer's support bar 90 degrees out of the way, then simply drive off. Reverse those steps to disconnect the trailer.

It would be even more convenient to be able to do this via rear cargo mounted buttons, or even remotely from the app! I could definitely see what you have highlighted as being a useful tool for all the things you mentioned, as well as trailering.
