Great little vehicle

I know there are probably folks on this forum that will think I'm crazy, but I used to have a 2003 Honda Element. I know they were funny looking, didn't have much clearance, and those rear passenger doors were super annoying. But! The cargo space was amazingly flexible for such a pint size car. The rubber floors and the take-out rear seats made that thing perfect for camping gear, tailgating, hauling bikes, furniture, skis... I mean, I used to put my Weber grill in the back and take it down to RFK Stadium when the Nats first started playing in DC.

It's a long time time to 2027. With the launch of Slate trucks and Ford's announcement today, I'd love to see Scout think about some more "rugged" finishes for the Traveler. I'm so looking forward to the Scout, but I defintely want it to be rough and ready too.

You might want to look at the measurements provided for the Traveler on the Scout home page. If you think this is going to be a "little vehicle" you may be disappointed.

My point was that Honda did a great job of squeezing a lot of utility into a small space. When I look at some of the reveal videos of the prototypes and scour the product pages, it's clear that Scout has really nailed the design to bring us something truly special. No, Traveler and Terra are both real-deal vehicles. I know I won't be disappointed!

We occasionally talk about the old scout Metros and I think that is the revival vehicle that could very much like the Honda elements. Could do suicide style doors and something like a 3/4 or 2/3 size of the VW ID buzz. I could see businesses all over NYC and other metropolitan areas using them for deliveries. I know a beautiful orange one was recently posted but forget the thread

My sister had an Element. I thought it was pretty neat. A couple friends had the first iteration of the Scion xB, which was also a neat, boxy ride that you could get a lot of stuff into, bikes and people and weekend beach stuff included. I’m all for this Scout, but I am going to be pretty happy for a li’l babby scooty Scout at some point.

Scout IH Metros were very cool. I think they made a mail truck as well'

I liked the Element, but at first I could not get around the plastic panels - by the time they changed that I needed more than seating for 4.
