Final Towing Specs?

From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. They are still up in the air.
But these are the numbers given so far:
Terra EV: 10,000lbs
Terra Harvester: N/A
Traveler EV: 7,000lbs
Traveler Harvester: 5,000lbs
They'll need to run the SAE J2807 towing spec standard tests on production-ready vehicles before they can give valid specifications. Any numbers quoted have been targets, hopes, and dreams.
Unless they have a skunkworks somewhere they don't have anything that is even close to a production test vehicle. Not likely.
They generally use a frankenstein to test rolling chassis and powertrain. Who knows.
To tell us the towing capacity-naaah. Oh-it’s WAY bigger than that kind of news. Think Oprah Winfrey!

Swear to god I’m just messing with you. I know absolutely nothing but I do enjoy the humor of you thinking I do. If there is something happening I’ll be as surprised as everyone else on here. Only thing I know is a couple visuals for the Scout in LA and in the big scheme of Scouts growth, it really doesn’t even mean much. And as for info from NYC-you live closer to NYC than me so you could have come in to see and hear things. Obviously others heard different things since they also posted about NYC. But I’ll keep smirking every time you post thinking I know more than I actually do.

Not gonna lie, but I think that Scouts factory is finished, and that we are being played by Jamie and the team. And that the factory is actually in Japan somewhere, maybe a USA military base, that’s why they are saying it will be American Made, and that we will be getting our scout order emails in the next weeks after the 24th of October.
Im willing to bet they will tow more than a 911
