Easter eggs

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

We touched on some of this randomly some time ago but wanted to start a dedicated thread. I’m hoping SM will throw some fun Easter Eggs at the new scouts but short of stealing Jeep ideas, are there any thoughts from anyone? Be creative because with the price of real eggs these days our ideas may be cheap by comparison.

My three are (and one has been discussed just recently)

-bottle opener on inside of the spare tire holder or maybe inside hatch of Traveler (not everyone will have spare) so when sitting on the tailgate I can open a BEvERage.
And
-coordinates of the original IH would be a great nod to the history
And
-either a flint/fire starter packet OR a magnifier because that can start a fire and help me make an arrow call when judging if I forget mine

And while not an egg per se, those sweet binoculars.

What’s your egg wish.

Oh what about this. There were all those Scout models back in the day. So the 800 and the Reaper and the Aristocrat, etc. So have the logos from those hidden in various places. So an 800, a little Grim Reaper, a little top hat.

Great start Jeff.

I'll do my best to try not to duplicate current trends that are out there in the market, I like the idea of the coordinates. Not sure if it's intentional or not, or hidden but the headlights to me are a easter egg and a homage towards the IH symbol. I'll come back and edit this...

My wish list.
1. A South Carolina state stamp somewhere throughout the line-ups
2. Have the start button resemble the "IH" logo, similar to the headlights
3. A throwback to the originals (80/800, Scout II, Terra, Traveler, etc)-similar to back I shared from the Bronco (located within the gas cap) -I broke my own rule.
4. Floor mats that pay tribute to Indiana?
5. Homage to the original year of production-see seatbelt image.

Wow-had the Bronco and never realized the buckle was stamped-that’s cool. Love the SC state outline or similar stamped logo. That would be cool. I know Broncos and Jeeps have some cool stuff too. I like the Bronco interior gas cap images.
What might be really funny is just literal Easter Eggs here and there 🤣

I recall reading a post on FB where a guy would leave his signature on the inside of gas door on the Scouts during in the production line, I'll see if I can find it. It would be funny if that rolled over.

All the Scout versions will have the same frunk, right? How about if there is a plastic panel for the inside of the hood of the frunk that has an International Harvester Logo, or some other significant image like the outline of SC with a star where the Scout plant is? It would be visible when the frunk was open, but since it was part of the hood it would be out of the way.

ok, it took me way too long to figure out why you need to start a fire to tell how close the arrow is to the target 😜(night time archery?)
