CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Good morning! For this next thing I’m posting one picture from Nats and one from Chicago. The Tahitian Red concept has the grey roof. Pacific Mist has a black one. On both of them there’s a black band in between the body color and the roof color.

I’m hoping in one of the revamps we get a lighter roof so we can see what it looks like. Because the way it’s painted there a black line dividing the body color from the roof color.

So you’re curious how the black strip will look with a light top ? Or are you hoping the change the piano black strip to another color to transition to lighter color? Would be nice if that paint divider strip would be matched to the roof since I presume it’s a pre finished piece that snaps in after painting (allowing for easier two-color painting). In that case I guess in theory you could do black, gunmetal and “light tone”. More inventory but would help keep the upscale finish to that detail area

Careful touching the paint with that ring on miss. Secret Agent will come after you.

It looks like what they are doing is carrying the black all the way around because the windows aren’t framless. The windows have a black frame.

So I want to see a white roof with the black stripe between the roof and the color.

But its over the width with mirrors unfolded. I think we need to really read and understand the language. Since government/lawyer language is different than human language.

I would ask one of the guys at Trade School. But we are on break so thats out.

Grok to the rescue!

"Scout Motors’ official specifications list the vehicles as:

• Width without mirrors: 79.9 inches

• Width with mirrors: 91.6 inches

Since the body width is just under the 80-inch threshold, these vehicles fall into the standard passenger vehicle/truck category and do not need the extra wide-vehicle lighting. Many full-size pickups and SUVs (like the Ford F-150 or Chevrolet Tahoe) are similarly around 79-80 inches wide without mirrors and lack roof-mounted clearance lights."

Like what @J Alynn said, someone knew the rules.
Well I knew what I meant. ;-)

Okay this picture is perfect for showing just how different Pacific Mist is in different lights. It almost looks like two different cars were put together. One half is blue and one half is green.
