1. 100% do massage. If you know you know. (Big Rivian and Tesla miss.)

2. Make sure the headlights dont get blocked by snow. (Rivian miss. Google.)

3. Skip the animations and cartoons. Spend your dev time elsewhere. (Rivian miss)

4. A good 360 camera. (Rivian does this well)

5. Perfect lane centering on ALL roads not just highways. Try hwy 395 first. CA. Hug the inside turn line. Nudge away from vehicles. (Big Rivian miss)

6. Lift kits. 37s. If u know u know.

Good job on the lockers, sway and 35s, btw. (Big Rivian, Ford, Chevy and Tesla miss)

7. Manual open charge ports only. (Rivian, Tesla and Porsche big miss)

8. Tesla chargers won the battle. Make sure the charge ports in the perfect spot for Superchargers. (Big Rivian and Ford miss)

9. 7 day scheduling for home charging. 12am to 6am on weekdays and 12am to 2pm on weekends. Look up SDGE. (Rivian and big Tesla miss)

10. Use the Tesla style UI where all the menus are on one column to the left. No swipes up+down+left+right. (Rivian miss)

11. Dont forget pet mode and lights off camp modes. (Rivian and Tesla wins)




Edits while sitting in Rivian.........
12. Dont overspend. Talk to Munro guys. (Big Rivian miss. Camp speaker, motorized center console latches, air vent motors, steering wheel adj motors, rear display +sw eng time...lots of waste)

Good job on the center console cooler. Id say a bit superfluous though. Platinum trim maybe.

Good job on the manual adjust vents. 100% keep. (Big Rivian and Tesla miss)

13. Seat comfort. Benchmark Rivian and 22 Model Ys. Go on a 500mi road trip and see.

14. Seat and steering wheel adjust...opinion. Save your money on the power adjust. Manual adjust is fine. (Jeep)

15. Multiple programmed users. (Rivian miss and Tesla Win)

16. Test your software updates beyond spec. Dont try to push them out monthly just as a KPI. (Huge Rivian and Tesla misses with botched releases.)


Good job on keeping the turn and drive stalks.


17. Phone charger! Benchmark Teslas perfect placement but with a cooling fan. (Huge Rivian miss. General auto miss.)

18. Roof glass is hot 100%. Sell a cover. A sliding cover is fine.

19. Metal window switches. (Drive a Benz with them. Big win.)

Good job on the door handles

20. Sound deadening. Spend the money.

21. Porsche door stays that hold in place at any position you open them.

Excellent job on the headlights. Huge rivian miss.

22. Rear seat comfort. (Tesla miss)

23. Capacitive steering wheel. (Rivian win and Tesla miss)

24. Brakes. (Rivian win, Tesla miss)

25. Dont forget car wash mode. (Rivian and Tesla)

I was kind of surprised that they did not have built in winches in the reveal vehicles. Abet I realize winches are a personal decision - but this is a fairly large vehicle - and I am not really sure I want to add an additional foot to them to put the winch in front. They have already said they will be offering accessories from the start - so I expect aftermarket style bumpers will be an option. Surprised that they advertising towing capactity, and the reveal videos show no apparent method of putting in a hitch - will be kind of sad if a trailer controller is an add on feature. It is a low production cost, but can be a considerable cost to add on. I think Dodge tried to fleece me for $750 to add it to my Ram 2 decades ago.

I’m willing to pay for leather, many are not. Same idea. Knowing SM is making accessories modular will help everyone get exactly what they want out the door

I don't think I've ever seen a truck without a hitch, maybe that's just where I live though. The modularity anf choices will be great with the Scouts allowing us to make each one our own.

Hitch comment: I believe I heard someone say at one point "[it's 90% done]", meaning their are some minor details to still work out. A fair point on this particular item being low production cost vs add on cost. Towing is big for me (??? Scout Motors for Harvester option ?)

The hitch is coming. The vehicles we displayed are hand-built concepts. Some details aren't fully baked yet. Winch is something we are working on.

I was thinking the traveller/suv. You are right-majority of trucks have hitches. I missed your point
