  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I thought I would create a place to discuss color options for various parts of the vehicle. There’s so many ways these can be painted. Two tone with a different color roof. Mirror caps could be body color, black, carbon fiber, etc. Bumpers and recovery hooks could be all the same color, different. And don’t get me started on wheels. So many options. Just starting the discussion to get some more ideas.

Oh and the VW Polo Harlequin is cute, but I know for sure I don’t want that! 😹

I’m thinking butter yellow body and mirrors. White roof. Some sweet gun metal gray rims with matching color roof rack. Maybe Ralleye stripes in a luster finish brown mustard tone (modern take on the faux wood panel stickers on the body sides).
I’d like a modern spear style side graphics that look more like arrows to honor my daughter 😀

This is exactly why I started this. Other than butter yellow that’s as far as I have gotten. I have to think now…..

I’m hoping the designer will do a great job with Aquamarine…I just don’t have the skills to put color stuff together. Though I like the idea of retro stripes. When I rebuilt a 1973 CJ5 I found some NOS stripes…I loved the look.

I’ve been googling color combos on cars, not just Scouts but any car to try and get an idea of what color combos look good together. It would be nice if when the colors are known, even if it’s before it’s our turn to place our order, if they had a page we could go to on the site and just play with all the color choices.

I’m still butter yellow and I’m 99% sure I want two tone so white or possibly grey roof. I’m not doing the roof rack so that’s not in the mix. I really want Rallye stripes. So if white roof white stripes, grey roof grey stripes. And then there’s tires. I love matte bronze wheels but I don’t think that would go with either of those combos. I’m thinking dark grey wheels? I don’t think I want white but it’s hard without seeing it. I have seen white on Defenders and I kinda like it. Hmmmm

Can't wait for the day when we can start building our perfect Scout.
