Here are some close ups of the various materials. Carpet mats are new for this. I wasn’t allowed to copy or speak of but the mats are changing for LA and they are gonna be SUPER cool. I think everyone will really enjoy themThank you so much for sharing! Man now I wished that I went to meet all of them and see that Traveler. The TUV looks amazing. Also please send more photos of the interior!
The welting details are amazing and other pics will show the ribbon led lighting in the door panels as well.Here are some close ups of the various materials. Carpet mats are new for this. I did get a few measurements from Jamie as they weren’t allowing seating to be manhandled. Back of second row seat to hatch is 37”. Edge of high wall to high wall from side to side is 4’-2” that above the wheel well molds. It was hinted there will probably be some side compartments behind the optional side wall rackThese were not being demo’s while I was there
I will also say /ask everyone here to say thank you to @CP1@scoutmotors because it is evident in my long conversation(s) today that man treats these vehicles like a first born child. He was kind enough to share a lot of behind the scenes pics of the repaint/strip and rebuild of the traveler. I’m hoping they’ll allow him to post some on a thread because it was so cool. Their team bondo’d several areas and reworked the front light housing edge flair because they weren’t happy with it. The said the current prototype hood is actually built in 2 pieces since a final die wasn’t available to stamp (and it’s carbon fiber) so they had to rework and bondo the center seam before painting Pacmist. The man takes great pride in his work and if no one else ends up saying it-thank you @CP1@scoutmotors -teuly enjoyed my time meeting and talking with you today. I look forward to the upcoming banter here on the forum!
Woah! Thank you so much. The details are next level. Also I’m loving this interior update the most.Here are some close ups of the various materials. Carpet mats are new for this. I’d like to see a measurement from found to bottom of rear axle. Or photos of that rear underside, assuming it’s not secret/wildly different than production.
Don’t give up on the dream of a yellow shade. I have the same dream of a yellow. I went to NYC yesterday and was told a certain someone had or has a yellow scout and “not to worry.”Interesting. I haven’t given up on my pale butter yellow dream, but that’s good to know. So would you choose this blue with the Tred interior over Tred?
Tred = Tahitian Red.
Thank you so much for sharing this! Excited that we get to test them out before ordering them! Once again great work!Probably nothing new here for vets like yourselves but figured I would share just in case…. things discussed with Scout personnel after my trip Downtown:
1. take heart for those hoping for a few bright colors. One person all but told me to expect a yellow shade which has me grinning from ear to ear.
2. Rallye will come in more than that ghost decal. Expect white, expect black. They want this thing to be as customizable as possible.
3. not new but late 2027 production which means most likely mid 2028 delivery.
4. they will begin taking info on your build well before they start production. I was told late 2026/early 2027. When you get yours will depend on how many others are similar from a foundation standpoint (harvester, traveller, etc.)
5. Tire carrier will only come with off road package and the BIG tires.
6. bench seat will have ability to fold down middle and give you storage, etc. similar but not the same as the standard two seater with console.
7. Engine for erev location will be about 2 ft in from bumper in the back underneath well protected with skid plates etc.
8. They will have multiple interiors to choose from. Again really customizable.
9. third row coming “a few years” after initial release.
10. workshop will be very close to NYC. Reservation holders will b e invited to test drive before they start taking info on our builds
11. Inside cargo about 4 ft deep. Back seats fold flat to give you about another 2 ft. Enough to fit a twin size inflateable mattress inside.
