    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

    The only thing I’m waiting on to switch to Bev is efficiency and range figures. Given the delay I’m hoping denser battery cells are on the horizon

    As someone who daily drives an eqs580 it’s a range monster on the freeway. The aero is a huge advantage for efficiency at highway speeds. Wish they had put in the two speed transmission coming in the glc which would give it an additional boost

    Range, like fuel economy, has so much variability to driving style. There is also a temperature component that impacts EVs and tire size and aero matters. It’s one of the reasons I’m eager to see what the real efficiency stats for about are for the pure ev

    The ix3 is launching now and should be in at a similar price point as scout, obviously a different segment of vehicle but it has 450-500 miles of range so the problem scout will have is keeping up w the coming 2026 and later EVs that have 400-500 miles of range at a reasonable price point.

    What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

    I’ll say it again, paddles for regen. I was very happy to hear at the auto show this feature is being considered. Separately do we know who is doing the sound system? Super critical for us audiophiles

    We need to make deals with our allies - friendshoring is very different than alienating and intimidating which is what’s happening today. There will always be things we have that our allies don’t and vis versa.

    The current EV products are superior in many ways. What’s unconscionable is the propaganda the oil companies put out denigrating them. Show me an anti EV campaign and I will show you the money trail leading back to big oil.

    Realistically they would have no incentive to announce a formal delay this early. Jamie’s message said delays could occur. Why would you dissuade reservation holders from signing up? The story is probably legit. It could also be a negotiating tool re VW and the German govt re the monkey...

    It’s not realistic because we are going into recession thanks to the monkey currently destroying our nation from the inside. Why invest in EVs when we no longer have an EPA. Why invest in a factory that has to import batteries from Canada.
