  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Not refuting what Chris said here, but at launch we likely won't have a work truck version. That isn't to say we aren't acutely aware of the commercial market and plan to be involved in it in the future.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Happy Friday! At the Detroit airport, heading home. Had some great planning meetings the last few days and went to dinner with our crew, including "Benj". It was great to see everyone as we wind down the year before the holidays. Terra is getting some TLC after LA Auto Show, Traveler is done...

Great to finally meet you in person and I’m truly sorry we didn’t get to spend more time chatting. It was busy all day and we had a great turnout for such a quick turn around opportunity to see the Traveler. We will be back to Chicago to do it right. On a plane to Detroit now. Get to see...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Trust that we are pushing hard. But we're also leading with technology, which comes at an additional cost compared to simple legacy setups in the market. In the long term, those costs will continue to decline, and we can pass those savings on to customers. No question, we are always looking at...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Respectfully, Tom, I'm not pulling these examples out of thin air or making them up. An e-beam rear axle is a new technology that must integrate an electric motor, integrated driveline components, cooling, and the necessary electrical support equipment. It is much more expensive than a typical...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

I can talk to the team to better clarify this. I reads fine to me, but I'm a bit too close to it. The full battery electric vehicle gets a projected 350 miles of range. The Harvester Range Extender gives you up to 150 miles of full battery electric range and range gets extended an additional...

Scout Traveler In Chicago December 10, 2025

Right now the morning weather doesn't look great. We will plan to try and display the vehicle from 1pm to 7pm but will send an email out in the morning with an update. I'll also post here with information on weather conditions.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

To preface this, I don't have nearly enough time to go into every detail but broadly speaking, a couple of points: One of the big pieces you haven't factored in is that this all-new platform has significant R&D costs that need to be recouped. There is no existing body-on-frame light-duty truck...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Scout Motors will always strive to make our vehicles as cost-effective as possible while maintaining a strong value proposition. The disparity between ICE and EV vehicles is still very real in this market. China subsidizes its automotive market heavily (reported $47B+ in 2025 alone) which gives...

Scout Traveler In Chicago December 10, 2025

Only thing I'll caution is that the weather forecast looks iffy with rain/sleet/snow the night before into that morning. It would be a long way to go for you if we have to pull the plug.
