  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Sorry, missed this one. Exact builds when we start production are still being determined. Anytime a manufacturer spools up a brand-new factory and a brand-new vehicle (rare, actually), things start slow and simple. Not all models and trims will be available right away, but over time everything...

Maybe I'm not tracking here, but why wouldn't you be able to access the rear cargo area while the vehicle is charging?

July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

We are working on the next update right now. The second Traveler concept was built using the same molds and techniques as the original concept - overall easier that way for how we will use that vehicle. No connection to the units they are working on in the factory. The building that you saw...

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

This event will get posted on the events page Friday. We just wanted to give reservation holders in that area a chance to RSVP first. We will also be in Boston in October for the Head of the Charles Regatta. More information on that one coming soon as well.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

We now have another Scout Traveler concept alongside our existing Traveler and Terra pickup truck concepts. The theme for this new Traveler is called Mountainside. Whereas our other Traveler showcases what an off-road-equipped Scout can look like, Mountainside shows a more urban and clean...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The technical bits are all there for testing purposes, but it isn't very pretty. Doesn't need to be. Function over form as wiring, computers, gear and more get swapped out regularly.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Not nearly wide enough or long enough. Maybe something on the commercial side of the fence might work. They usually have the top from one thing, the hood from another, fenders stretched and flared, and everything sitting awkwardly on top of the frame. All that will change in the next few months...

Not if it looked like any competitor's vehicle. :D

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

By and large correct. The fleet of testing mules thus far uses whatever sheet metal remotely fits on our chassis - which isn't much from the VW group. :D Since we only started stamping Scout sheet metal recently, the existing test mules are all ugly-looking test beds that won't look like a...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I think during this time, while we work towards the start of production and customer deliveries, it is going to feel a bit like a marketing clinic. Once people can kick the tires, climb in and out, drive them, and own them, then everything will change. In the meantime, let us know what you like...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

Yes, the sidemarkers are on the production models. They are designed a little differently to keep elements out and make maintenance easier, but look mostly the same. I think the interface will let you adjust nearly everything the buttons will let you adjust if you don't want to use the buttons...

    Local Scout Event

Aspen is a festival that requires a ticket to enter and see the vehicles. That's part of the reason we haven't made a big push to advertise it to the general public. We mostly just wanted people that might be attending to know we will be there.
