  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

There was an update on this article. Tesla was unaware they had this “contract”, it was an error on the part of the state department. Electrek has been putting out more political stuff lately rather than straight EV news. Just take what they say with a grain of salt, they seem to have an agenda...

    OS Handle

Just saw this as well. Please include one on the drivers side! Helps with getting in and out of the vehicle with large tires and high ground clearance!

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Love the detox mode idea! I was just hoping for a “button” to turn off the screen but this is an even better option. Great work!

    Sound suppression

Have they mentioned if all the windows will be acoustic glass sound dampening? Can’t remember if they mentioned it.

Scout shows off the UX at CES!

Love the simplicity of the HVAC she showed on the video. If you look at the Ford Lightning (and other models), does one really need 3 different places to change the air conditioning? Maddening how repetitive it is let alone just adding to the overall cost. Keeping it simple but still well...

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

Can’t remember if this was addressed. Are all the windows all around going to be double paned acoustic glass for quietness?

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Ummmm, Corpus please. Last place in Texas you can drive on the beach. Every weekend it’s packed. People love to park near the water and “camp out” all day. Can you imagine the marketing pics with the Traveler/Terra with surfboards, tents, awnings, kayaks, fire pits, etc!!!!

    Rear AC in the roof

For anybody with kids in a car seat (especially rear facing), vents in the ceiling is a must.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Talking to real owners has been a huge help. Look at your needs and apply some logic. I have an old Xterra that barely gets 280 miles but I don’t have anxiety (gas stations are everywhere). Many EV’s are going over 300 now. 1. If 99% of your driving is done with less than 250 miles in a day...

Traveler Ultimate Wish List for Scout Motors

Would like cooled rather than ventilated seats. It gets Hot in Texas!

Agree with everything you said including FLY NAVY!

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Absolutely love the ethos this company is promoting right now! American brand, old school brand coolness, tough out of the box, American made, forward thinking...just to name a few things. Honestly, right out of the gate, I'd suggest the KISS principle. Keep It Simple Stupid. Absolutely nailed...

    Instrument Cluster

Love it! Blends old school design with modern digital take. Completely different from everyone else out there. Simple and effective.
